My home office has a pile carpet, and I've always used a heavy-duty plastic floor mat for my computer chair, but I had to replace the mats periodically because they developed ruts in them over time from the casters on the chair, making it difficult to maneuver my chair between my desk, credenza, and file cabinets. With my tempered glass floor mat, problem solved... no more ruts, and I can move my chair around much more easily now. I don't know why I waited so long to upgrade to the tempered glass floor mat. Wish I'd done it sooner. It's very sturdy and doesn't shift or move on my carpet. Love it! Granted, it's more expensive than the plastic mats, but I would have saved a bundle if I'd bought a tempered glass floor mat years ago. Highly recommended. Read more

If you're looking for a pretty and sturdy mat this is the one. Previously had a plastic mat which was extremely flexible but the chair would have a tendency to getting into it's own "groove" or indentation. This mat is firm and your chair will easily glide across. Read more

I had purchased a chair mat made from polycarbonate because I was using it on a high pile carpeting and planned to by another one for a family member who wanted to use it on a medium pile carpeting. Polycarbonate mats seem to be stiffer than PVC mats but I'm digressing. Let me get back to the reason for this tempered glass mat purchase. I noticed that my polycarbonate chair mat started to crack after a year or so of use and a prior chair mat that I had was made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The prior PVC chair mat developed more cracking with less use. I couldn't find a polycarbonate chair mat with suitable thickness (0.1" or greater) at a reasonable cost and so I decided to purchase this tempered glass chair mat. I was a little concerned because I didn't know if the 0.2" thick tempered glass on medium pile carpeting was strong enough to bear the weight of a person in a chair (about 180-190 total pounds) along with the normal getting up and sitting down loading that would occur with daily use. Well after 6 months of use, the tempered glass chair mat is working out great. The chair rolls very smoothly on it and the beveled edges on the mat make it easy to roll the chair back on the mat whenever it rolls off. When my polycarbonate chair mat finally wears out, I'll be switching to this tempered glass mat also. Read more

This mat is as advertised, is attractive and so much better than the plastic we have all tried in the past. I recommend this product and the mats arrived two days ahead of the estimated delivery date. Great service. Read more

I'm at a desk most of the day and the wheels on my chair didn't work very well on carpet. I didn't want those flexible chair mats so I bit the bullet (price-wise) and got this. So glad I did. Now my chair rolls like it's on hardwood. After six months, no scratches, dings, or dents. Still looks brand new. Read more

Needed a chair mat for our plush rugs in the office, this one appears to be perfect for our application. It is quite heavy and large enough to cover the area needed for the office chair. It was on sale when purchased so the price was reasonable, probably would not have purchased it at full price. Read more

I bought this for my son’s gaming room. It is solid! It was packed great and if you remove it slowly, you won’t get the packing pieces everywhere like some reviews say. It’s covered in dust which is expected so have glass cleaner ready to clean it on both sides before you place it. it works fabulously with my son’s chair. I have it on medium height carpet so I didn’t use the little dots that came with it. The edges aren’t sharp which was important as my son goes barefoot a lot. He hasn’t pushed far back though to fall off the side so I’m not sure how easy it is to push back up but it is slopes a bit on edge so that should make it easier I’d think. Read more
