Review for Musort "Teen Girls Period Underwear Leakproof Panties Menstrual Panty Cotton Kids Protective Briefs" My daughter is currently 10 years old and technically the size 12-14 would probably be the best for her right now, but she hasn't started her period yet and I wanted to go ahead and order the size 14-16 to prepare. Pros: -Received 8 pieces of underwear of varying colors- Appear as advertised in both color and design -Label states it is 95% cotton and 5% spandex -Fabric and elastic band is soft and stretchy -Generally seems well-made with good stitching -Black area is slightly thicker; I tested with water which beads up and then eventually starts to absorb without soaking through the opposite side -Black area seems to provide plenty of coverage, going of the back and most of the front -While they are currently a bit too big since I sized up, my daughter still tried them on and state they feel comfortable Cons: -Shape and stitching placement kind of reminds me of a bulky diaper or something -Black area has somewhat of a stiffer plastic sound/feel to it, but it isn't excessive -While we haven't been able to test with anything other than water yet, I'm not sure how well these would work for a large leak simply because it takes too long for liquid to absorb into the black material; the liquid mostly beads up and rolls around at first which might cause it to be pushed out the sides Overall, I think these are good so far to wear as backup to another period product. They are obviously not meant to be used alone though they could likely handle light spotting toward the end of a period.
