I have recently started drinking a lot of tea and with it came the tooth stains. So I thought would give these teeth whitening pens a try. You are supposed to apply after brushing and drying your teeth. To apply you need to twist the bottom of the pen to move the purple fluid onto the brush head. From there you apply to your teeth. I needed a lot of twisting before anything came out and once it did it was a lot. Then nothing and then again a lot. So I think I have to practice this a bit better. It also slips off my teeth a bit but then again I am also not sure how much should really be applied. Once on you wait about 30 seconds and rinse. And the results after only one try were astonishing. The tarter came off almost completely from my top teeth. My bottom teeth are standing very close so while these pen did a decent job my teeth still have some stains. That said you are supposed to apply this up to twice a day. I will certainly build this into my tooth brushing routine. I am quite amazed by the result. I was skeptical about the efficacy of purple teeth whitening treatments but I really liked the convenience of easy dosing with a pen. This seemed like a far less messy way to handle a purple colored substance, though I will say that it's not completely mess-free. I like the minty fresh feeling this product leaves behind, and it truly whitens your smile. I will say that results definitely build, as with most whitening treatments. I love that this can be used daily, and even multiple times a day, which I would never do with whitening strips, even if they told me it was safe. Having only used once per day during my experiment, I absolutely noticed a difference in my smile. Since there are no strips to cover this gel, it does make a bit of a mess in your mouth, and can be difficult to keep in place on each tooth. Seeing your purple smile in the mirror is at least a little bit entertaining, if not terrifying. Over all, I really like these pens. The set was roughly 2.50 per piece, and you get several uses out of each one. These are both convenient and effective, for deeper whitening, or touch-ups. As someone with sensitive teeth and gums, I did not experience any negative side effects while using this product. The box directions are clearly flawed, as you need much more than 20 seconds to whiten your teeth. Wouldn't that be something? Maybe in the distant future. Read more
