Just received my glass mat today. It was delivered perfectly and the packaging was done very well. It was a little heavy (obviously) but nothing I couldn’t care in myself. I opened it up easily and laid it where I wanted it. It came with the clear film over one side of the glass to make sure it didn’t get scuffed or damaged in transit, very easy to remove. It looks AMAZING on my floor, I’m very excited that now my chair won’t keep rolling on the same parts of the carpet and wearing it out. Really like mat so far (started to use a week ago). Using directly on wood floor which makes me a bit concerned if any small particles find their way under will scratch the floor, since I've seen some other mats have thin spacers underneath. Spacers, though, might make glass bend between them possibly causing breakage (don't know!). Flexible plastic mat I had before took much junk under it and already damaged wood floor (like sandpaper). Caution!... cardboard box used for shipping was flimsy and have very thin styrofoam sheets against the glass. Cardboard was smashed like accordion around edges and there were several punctures.
