ive had this safe for a very long time and i gotta say it is AMAZING. i have unfortunately lost the keys but the battery and password do great as expected. the functionality is great, it fits in most spaces really good and isnt in the way most of the time, and the safety is great. i dont know about waterproofness yet because i dont really wanna risk that. overall, i love this safe, especially for the small price which adds to the overall quality of it. i recommend getting this if you just need a medium sized safe that wont get in the way most of the time, and want a safe little box to keep things. This was so close to being perfect for our needs. It is a nice size and can hold a lot of stuff, from business-sized documents to small boxes. The included half shelf is nice for organizing. I found the keypad to be both easy to set a combination with, and to use for opening/closing. Having a key for emergency access plus a battery pack for backup makes this a tremendous value. It isn't too heavy to move around the house as needed. However, because of how the door is hinged, it does not open wide enough to easily insert or remove longer items. While there is room inside for objects just over 12 inches across, the door opening is only nine inches across. Letter-sized file folders, for example, have to be manipulated in weird angles to get them inside. If they are rigid files or documents, there is almost no chance to insert them if there is anything else in the safe. When the shelf is in place it makes it even harder Even with the shelf removed, I often had to take almost everything out of the safe in order to access 8.5x11 files. If you are only placing smaller items inside, or can fold your documents, this is a great safe. But the inability to easily store and access file folders forced us to return ours. Which is a bummer because this is a much better value than what we will likely end up replacing it with. Also worth noting, while this safe does not claim to be either water or fire proof, because of the mounting holes on the back it most definitely will not keep the elements out. I purchased a large quantity of these safes for my hotel and mounted them in all rooms. The price is great for the quality and security they provide. They are easy to set up and use, which makes them perfect for guests. The size is compact but still roomy enough for valuables. Very happy with this purchase. Read more

I’m sorry, but this is not as safe nor does it make me feel any safer at all. I can’t see how this thing is actually fireproof. I’m scared to even try to see if it would be because I’m not gonna put any of my valuables in this because you can open it without a key. All you have to do is pride it open and another thing it arrived broken and the door on it is on crooked. I’m thinking I need to send it back and get my money back. I can use my money for something a lot safer than this. The safe I was trying to replace was 10 times better than this one. Read more
