This tent is pretty much exactly as advertised and I found most of the 4 and 5 star reviews to reflect my experience. I wanted a tent with a big covered portico to keep dirty stuff away from the worst elements or to sit in during a rainy day. That’s what this is and the portico also has a bug screen. That portico area measures 10 feet at the main tent wall and narrows to about 8 feet at the screen door and has no floor. I’ll be adding a 6x8 heavy duty tarp to the ground, but any plastic or straw mat would be great. Personally I would call this a 4 person tent for a family, but it is really good for a couple or 4 person family. For 6 people you need to be very intimate or a couple plus little kids. Then again that is the truth for any tent. Just think about the size and decide what you need. Don’t look at the person count. Height is great. Inside there are 11 pouches for stuff which is a lot for a tent in this class. It also has two clothes lines that provide about 16 feet of hanging space and an optional screen pouch for the roof. If you don’t want the square screen pouch you have a hook to hang a lantern or whatever else you want to hang that isn’t too heavy. The bag to transport the tent and poles if very nice and not a tiny thing that makes putting the tent back a nightmare. The quality is good for a person who tents via driving to a site a handful of times a year. It won’t last forever but if you take care of it and put it away properly and dry I’m sure you can get many years use and more than your money’s worth. Especially when one night in a crappy hotel room costs the same as the tent. I was able to set up the tent by myself (without the fly) in 10 minutes. We normally pass on an item with an unfamiliar name and quite likely a Chinese origin but decided to take a chance on this product. This weekend's outing with a scouting troop really tested the tent and it was surprisingly good overall. One person familiar with setup could pitch the tent, but it is easier with two. Roomy enough for 2 cots and gear, sturdy enough to not need all the tie downs, with thoughtful interior features. What really made it shine was the rain fly. We got treated to a real Florida "toad strangler" of a rainstorm for hours one night, and the tent stayed perfectly dry. The ventilation was good. Asking the ventilation to keep us cool in the brutal FL heat would have been too much to ask, but the hook at the ceiling center allowed us to hang a fan. Clean up and tear down was easy. We decided to just roll up the tent and take it home... the bag is ridiculously small but if you pound on the tent enough it will fit back in. Also, be aware that the fiberglass and steel tent post system is sturdy but easily makes up half the product weight. I like the ventilation, room and bug protection of the front porch also. With the porch and main tent door closed you also get a nice sense of privacy. Definitely worth the money. We hope to get a lot of use out of this tent in future years. Read more

I have pitched the tent but not used it overnight, so my review is tentative (see what I did there?). I looked at a lot of $500+ tents, and decided that I didn't camp enough to justify the high price. I picked this one on Amazon based on the size and the price. The construction quality is much stronger than I had expected at this price. It was possible (although not easy) to put it up by myself, although much cursing was involved. With two people it will be a snap. The main part of the tent is very roomy - I expect to use two cots. The screened-in porch is perhaps the best feature, providing a nice sitting area and extra large vestibule. All the hardware needed to attach the poles is attached to the tent is a nice touch, especially if you have every arrived at a campsite having forgotten a key piece of gear. I have taken off one star because the rain fly does not provide full coverage. However, as long as the rain comes straight down, it should be fine. :) Read more
I absolutely love this tent! I have always wanted a big tent and this thing is perfect! You could probably fit two queen size air mattresses side by side and then have like a twin at the bottom. There is so much room and then you add the out door screened in part. I love it so then the dirty shoes or riding clothes don't have to come inside and get the inside of the camper dirty, but you don't have to worry about them getting too wet outside either. This tent is good quality. It was easy to set up. Came well packaged. Very big and roomy! No holes or rips. My son and his three friends enjoyed it. They have used it multiple times and it's still holding up. Read more
This is an upgrade for us from a 4 person tent. I would argue a four person is good for 2 people, unless you can sleep packed like sardines. I, personally, cannot! Pretty easy to set up (my 9-year-old and I did it). Space is good for a small family (3 of us) with a queen air mattress and an inflatable memory foam camping pad, there is some room to maneuver around and have a large battery running my CPAP. I like the height. I'm 5"5' and after ducking slightly through the door, I can stand upright throughout. I love having the "porch". It has no floor, but the tarp I got for under the tent is long enough to provide a floor for that area. It's great to be able to take off shoes there and keep the tent clean. We have only set it up in the backyard at this point, but I am certain our next camping trip will be far more comfortable than previous trips in the (arguably) tiny (4 person) tent. It does not block out light quite as well as the old tent, but "sleeping in" when camping has never been our reality anyway. Read more
