The media could not be loaded. I have ants on my 3rd floor’s balcony. I placed about 5 traps in less than 10 minutes, within 20 minutes I had large congregations of 30+ ants per trap, were there used to be only 2-3 ants before. These traps are highly effective attracting the ants to the sugary poison. Tip: I followed the advise of some of the reviews and spill the poison at the mount of the trap (as the trap entrance might get a couple of millimeters off the surface). I don’t know yet if the poison is effective, I will update the review in 1-2 weeks on this. Edit after 10 days of use: The traps killed a lot of ants the first couple of days, unfortunately, I have too many colonies of the large ants everywhere, so it took some effort and perseverance to get rid of them. In my experience, positioning the traps vertically is mostly ineffective, as it is very difficult to have the trap mouth make contact with the wall, those few millimeters off the wall make a big difference, very few ants find their way into the trap. However, if you placed the traps horizontally (on their bellies) and squeeze them a bit to spread 4-6 drops of the poisonous syrup next to the trap mouth, ants will instantly find the sugary poison and start collecting in large numbers around the venomous drops, thus the traps are good, but need to be placed correctly. Even with these strategies, I still have ants after 7-10 days, remember the larger ants are a bit more stubborn than the little ones (and resistant). I live in Florida and ant colonies can get really big here. After 5 days I came home and saw large ant balls on the garage walls, I was able to see them from 10-15 feet, when I came closer, I realized that the Queens had abandoned the nest and were surrounded by other ants (queens were big and have wings) these phenomenon happened almost every day for 4-5 consecutive days, I took advantage of this opportunity and sprayed the queens with Clorox, killing so far no less than 20 queens in 5 days - a testament of how large these nest can get here in Florida. In summary, this product has created a havoc inside the ant colonies, killing a significant number of them every day, including bringing the queens out. Some nest had completely disappeared, while others are about 70-80% gone. Changing the traps after storms, or spreading drops of poison has proveen to be effective. I have killed thousand of ants so far and managed to reduce my (outdoor) ant problem by about 80-90% in ten days. I still give these traps a 5 start rating as the destruction they create on those colonies is impressive. Unfortunately, the amount of colonies and ants I have outdoors is just too ginormous, so for these traps - as good as they are - they need multiple days (or weeks) to completely disseminate all the nests. The design of these are easy to use. Just make sure to wear gloves when opening and placing to avoid accidental contact. I've noticed a reduced amount of ants within a day and then they taper off completely. Speed wise I like these. This is definitely my go to every summer. If I place them in early spring and keep replacing as directed I can be ant free all summer. They are super effective for me. Read more

The TERRO liquid ant baits for outdoor use do an okay job overall, but they don’t feel quite as effective as they could be. They work, just not as aggressively or consistently as you might expect if you’ve used TERRO products indoors or had really stubborn ant activity outside. On the positive side, the stakes are convenient and easy to use. You simply place them in the ground near ant trails, entry points, or areas where ants are active, and you’re done. There’s no mixing, no mess, and no guesswork. The design keeps the bait protected from rain and pets, which is important for outdoor placement. Having 12 stakes in the package also gives you flexibility to cover multiple problem areas around the yard, patio, or foundation. The liquid bait does attract ants, but not always as quickly or aggressively as hoped. In some spots, ants found the bait fairly fast and activity picked up around the stakes. In other areas, it took much longer for ants to show interest, and some stakes seemed to be mostly ignored. When ants do feed on it consistently, you do see a reduction over time, but it’s more gradual than dramatic. Effectiveness feels a bit hit or miss depending on the ant type and location. It helps reduce visible activity, but it doesn’t always feel like it fully wipes out the colony. In my experience, you may need to reposition stakes, use additional treatments, or be patient longer than expected to see meaningful results. It’s helpful as part of an overall ant control strategy, but it may not be strong enough on its own for heavier infestations. Build and formulation quality are fine. The stakes hold up well outdoors, don’t leak, and are easy to remove or relocate. They also last a reasonable amount of time before needing replacement, which is good for ongoing control rather than a one-time fix. Overall, these TERRO outdoor ant baits are useful and do provide some level of control, but they aren’t a miracle solution. They work best for light to moderate ant problems and when ants actively take the bait. With stronger attraction or faster colony impact, they could easily be a five-star product. As they are now, four stars feels fair. Read more

This product works... I despise ants finding their way into the house. I put only four traps outside, and four inside the kitchen where I saw them appear. One day later, only a few ants & moving slower. Two days later one or two ants. Three days, not a sign of them... and nothing since! Other brands of ant traps had no effect after a week of spraying them, squashing them, cleaning high and low... and other ant traps. This bait draws them in and eliminates them... don't waste your time with anything else. The only negative thing I have to say is that it takes a sharp strong pair of clippers/scissors to cut the tip off... not really a big deal. They work!!! Read more

I had a persistent ant problem in my kitchen, and these worked like a charm. I placed a few stations along the ant trails, and within an hour, the bait was covered with ants. By the next day, they were completely gone. I love that it’s odorless and easy to set up—you just snap off the tab and place it down. Highly recommend for anyone dealing with small sugar or house ants! Read more

We tend to get ants once the weather gets warm, so we put these around the outside of our house every spring. They do work to keep the ants at bay. I recommend. Read more

Works fairly well. Ants come to see the bait, but the bait doesn’t kill them. Pretty weird concept Read more
