High quality materials, durable, warm, and a great size for a small adult woman

The media could not be loaded. This bag feels quality right out of the box! The outer material is a strong, durable feeling, heavy duty woven fabric. The inside kinda looks like cotton flannel, but is actually a slippery, thin polyester nylon material. Both look like they could hold up to heavy use and laundering, as well as snags on trees, rocks, etc. For the price, this bag seems durable and capable of keeping you warm in cold weather. I bought this bag for myself, an adult woman (5ft tall and about 100lbs) and it's a pretty decent fit for my purposes. I have a camper set up under a fiberglass canopy on the back of my very small pickup truck. I had been using a sleeping bag rated for 30F, but wanted to extend my camping season into the winter. I planned to put the other sleeping bag inside this one for maximum loft, but after I got inside the Teton, I don't think I'll need to double up. If necessary, I can always unzip the Teton and use it as a top quilt, but honestly, I think it will be sufficient on it's own. It is a bit short for me, in that my head doesn't fit inside the hood when its cinched tight, but it does fit my whole body inside the bag with my head on top of the un-cinched hood. My sleeping set up in my camper is a toddler bed/crib mattress and full sized sleeping bags didn't fit well, so I went looking for a child sized bag. As it turns out, not too many kid sized bags are available with a 0F rating, and the few that do exist are pretty pricey. This one fit my budget and my size requirements. I plan to use it for the first time in winter camping conditions in the next week or so and will report back with my field testing experience. PROS: *it fits my small sleeping set up and my body fits inside the bag with my head on top of the hood *the bag cinches at the shoulders and cinches separately at the hood, so I can cinch my shoulders in and still keep my head on top of the flat hood *wide enough for side sleepers or to put another bag inside for extreme winter temps *the price is very good for the temp rating and the durability of the bag *it can be fully unzipped and used as a top quilt for a larger person, or to use on top of another sleeping bag for extra insulation *it comes with its own (attached to the bottom of the bag) straps for rolling up and carrying/ backpacking *comes with a lifetime warranty *is well insulated and because it is not designed to be stored in a compression sack, the loft is high and will likely stay so *has a soft, lofted barrier all around the zipper to prevent drafts *durable zippers, velcro sections at the top of the zipper section, and lofted draft barriers the entire length of the zipper and at the cinch points around shoulders and hood Cons: *this is NOT an ultralight/ backpacking sleeping bag! (weighs about 4 lbs) *does not come with a stuff sack for compression (which I find frustrating anyway, and prefer to roll my bags) *is likely too small for tall kids (but is, of course, designed for children under 5ft tall) ***See my photos for how a 5ft tall, 100 lb person could use this bag*** Read more

Great sleeping bag for 4 and 6 year old girls!

I bought this for my almost 4 year old daughter and she couldn't wait to crawl inside. It seems like a very well made quality product. Love the colors and the size is great for her. I also bought one for my 5 almost 6 year old, but that one will be blue. I bought the same one for myself and was debating whether i just wanted to get them a regular size one like mine because it's only $5-10 more or just go with this size. My 5 year old really likes this size so we're sticking with these. Especially since I can just give the blue one to my now 18 month old lil man when she grows out of it. (The blue one) My 4 year old should be able to use hers for several years. It is nice, thick, and comfortable. I tried rolling it up to put back into the bag a couple times and that was not only time consuming, but it was strenuous. lol. I then tried just stuffing it in there and that worked well!! I did the same with the regular size one and thats pretty much the only way I can get it back in the bag. The bags are nice and compact too, which is GREAT! The warmth of it does concern me because the one I got was rated to 0 degrees F and these are for 20 degrees F. Honestly, I don't think we'll be camping in 0 degree temperatures with 4 kids under 6, so probably won't be a problem. Overall, I'm very pleased with the product and hope it stands up to the challenge! Especially for the price.... Read more

Warm

I bought this for my kid and our first season of camping. We went the first time and it was way to hot to climb inside. It did however create a nice cushion between him and the ground. The second time we went it was 29 deg (f) and my wife piled on the blankets like we were in sub 0 temps. He was sweting but as i slowly peeled back the covers he showed no signs of being cold. In the morning when he woke up i asked if he was cold, still lying in the bag. He was so happy to be there. With all that said it is a warm bag, soft to the touch to be comfortable and the right size for a couple of year. But if you are looking for compact, that is not what this is. Just imagine a pint sized Coleman sleeping bag when stowed away. Read more

Great little bag

This bag has some nice features: - a full length zipper baffle is a nice size and blocks the zipper as well has my higher end bag - My daughter loves the little hidden pocket to put a small toy or her little flashlight into - The stuff bag is snug, and about as tight as you can possible roll the bag, which makes it a nice small package. There is an extra piece of material to seal the top of the cinch part of the stuff bag. It's not a compression bag, but it's very snug. - The inner material is plaid cloth. It's not fuzzy like flannel, but is a tight weave (probably) cotton/poly blend. I couldn't find a label for the inner cloth material. - The hood is a nice feature, not as useful as a true mummy bag hood, but nice when the pillow lays on it, and keeps it from slipping off the bag leaving a cold spot. - The velcro zipper cover has an extra strip to stick to when not covering the zipper tab, so you don't have a rough velcro strap scraping around your child's face. - Pink stitching is tasteful - Nice zipper guard to keep the fabric from snagging I wish the zipper ran across the bottom so it could be unzipped into a blanket. No idea if it's really +20F. I find the ratings highly subjective. I use my 0F down mummy year round. Read more
