We like it protects from UV rays. We also apply sunscreen on exposed areas of the skin. We have used this on our toddler in high summer heat and it works great. We live in the Pacific Northwest and specifically in Washington so I can not speak to how this will do in higher heat settings like Southern California. We were a little worried about the size being accurate and it fitting right because of some reviews. However, having a smaller child that was premature and still sificantly smaller than average peers, the swimsuit fits well but it still a little big especially the bottom part. We would definitely order again next year if needed to go up in size. Read more
