My daughter is always hot and these are a good year round weight for her. Thicker leggings make her overheat. They wash and wear well. I have bought them before and will buy them again. They are my favorite girls leggings. They fit true to size. We do not need to size up. They completely cover my daughter, even when she bends and tumbles. I like the leggings, I have been buying them from this brand a lot. However this time, the size was off. My daughter is 4, (she will be 5 in 2 months) and is about 43" tall and about 38lbs. The previous "size 5T" leggings from this brand I got her were getting too small. I ordered the "size S 5/6" for this item, and it is a bit wider than the previous 5T but the same length.
