This skirt probably is true to size but since I'm not comfortable in really short skirts, I ordered this in a large, so I could wear it lower on my hips making the length longer. For reference, I am 5'2" and 115 pounds and usually wear a small, so I sized up 2 sizes to get the look in the attached photos. The usual sizing on this would be a snug fit; there is a lot of stretch so even wearing the usual size it would be comfortable because stretch. The skirt is a pull-on style; there is no zipper. The amount of stretch this skirt has is amazing. I have a smaller butt, but for those with a fuller bum, I think it would still fit, because of all the stretch. There are two regular "jean style" pockets in the front, plus a fake fly. There is also two back pockets. The overall look is a smooth and polished. The length is flattering, and it looks good with sneakers, boots and heels. The slit in the skirt is really cute as well as giving more freedom when walking. Now about the construction: It's made with Cotton, Polyester, and Spandex, which is why there is a lot of stretch. In addition to giving you that bodycon fit (when you order your usual size), it's really comfortable. On the inside the seams are serger stitched, so nicely finished. On the outside, the seams are nicely topstitched. There are built in shorts which is really nice when you consider the length. The shorts are made of a stretchy material, so they feel like you are wearing boy shorts. I washed in cold water with my other jeans and then tossed it into the dryer. Okay… this skort is a win 🙌 First off, it actually fits. You know how denim can be hit or miss? Not this one. It’s stretchy in all the right places, super flattering, and moves with you instead of feeling stiff or restrictive. Major plus. It’s also so cute and comfortable, which is honestly the dream combo. You get that classic denim look, but with the added bonus of built-in shorts, so you can actually move around, sit, walk, or chase errands (or kids or dogs!) without thinking twice. The pros: I love how stretchy this skirt is! I feel like jean skirts are notoriously uncomfortable, and this one is very comfortable! The length is perfect -- a little on the shorter side, but a flattering length and with the shorts underneath, there is no worry that it is too short at all. The style is cute -- and true to size. It feels like high quality material that is nice and thick. There are no zippers, but four pockets -- two in the back and two on the side. All are big enough and usable! Such a cute little stretchy denim skort! My **extremely** picky daughter tried this on for me, but I wasn’t thinking it was a medium, and she wears an XS. She liked it, even though it hung off her. 🫣 Thankfully, it made its way to my closet, and I wore it right away with a flowy top. I float between a small and medium, and this fit me wonderfully! Cute side slit for a little detail, but I personally love the coverage of the shorts. Very comfortable fabric, that didn’t cling to me when I sat down. The look of a hidden zipper, without one, because the fabric has enough stretch to easily pull on! No unsightly elastic waist! I love The Gym People styles, and have many items from the brand. I find that they offer popular styles and fabrics, and they’re well made, and last! I’d love to see this in white and pink…..I’d totally add them to my wardrobe. Read more

I got this for my daughter and she told me multiple times the first day she wore it how much she loved it and wanted more of them. First of all, the denim is soft and slightly stretchy, not stiff as denim too often is, form-fitting but not clingy like Saran wrap like so much stretchy material. The design is cute, with the subtle A-line and little side slit, and the attached shorts are completely hidden by the skirt but give extra confidence not provided by most short skirts. This would really be better described as a cartwheel skirt rather than a skirt. The waistband is smooth and doesn't make unsightly bulges under clothes. Wonderful value. Read more

When I first pulled this out of the packaging I thought there was NO WAY in the world it would actually fit me. But, I'm stubborn, and was curious, so I tried anyway. I am glad I did. This skort has stretch! The fabric has some heft to it and keeps the tailored look to it, but is very comfortable. The style can be dressed up or down and I look forward to wearing this during the summer when running about, but you could really wear it for hiking, shopping, and more. Read more
