My dentist recommended these so I started using them. The instructions said to moisten the tip (with my saliva) first before using. I thought, that can't be right, it'll lose its firmness. But I did and it worked terrifically. I could cover every tooth in my mouth with one pick and it never once lost its firmness. And now for the even better part. There was a news story about how "pfas" (whatever they are) were causing severe health problems so I checked where they might be found--and turns out they could also be found in some tooth flosses that make it smoother to use.
