I have had this backpack for several years and it is definitely worth it. It holds all of my school supplies plus more. The laptop sleeve keeps my laptop very well padded and secure. It is very comfortable to wear. I definitely recommend getting it in black because it is easier to keep clean. I thought that this backpack would be HUGE for my daughter’s tiny, 11 year old body, but I was wrong. If she was any smaller, I’d disagree with that, but she’s roughly 4 foot 8 inches, and it works well for her. Especially now that she’s in junior high and needs to carry more books, a quality backpack was and is imperative. She loves the look and the style of this North Face back pack, and it has all the room that she needs for all of her stuff. It’s a winner through and through. It definitely will last, as North Face quality is outstanding. I never had one of their backpacks, but all the jackets and fleeces we’ve owned, they have absolutely never disappointed! I highly recommend this backpack 110%! Yeah, you do pay more because of the brand, but for the quality and comfort, it’s well worth the cost. It’s heavy duty, and the straps are very comfortable on her shoulders and back. Comfort is very important to me as a mother to a young child. This backpack holds everything my daughter needs. It looks great and has held up very well over the past two months. This is her second north face backpack and they are her favorite by far. They hold up well to the abuse a high school athlete puts it through. The picture shows it after being used for two months and being drug to school, practices, games, shoved in lockers and on the bus. It still looks brand new. Read more

It's an OK bag and I'm sure it will last my Granddaughter through the year. It's roomy and is well compartmentalized and....she says it's comfortable. The real reason she wanted this one is because it is 'all the rage' at school. You ain't 'in' if you don't have a NorthFace.
