Works really good but too big to pack around in a motorcycle does what it's suppose to do and has kept me warm down to 40 degrees so far. This sleeping bag is great for car camping and by being two separate bags you can compensate for cold and warmer temps . All in all not to shabby but kind of expensive for what it is. Update I bought a electric battery powered pad so I only take the blue or yellow bag and it squeezes down compactly so I'm able to take it on my motorcycle and not buy a different bag. Read more
Absolutely awesome concept just got mine in yesterday. This bag offers the versatility you need when doing long hikes with different elevation changes and temperature changes without the added weight of an extra bag. This bag is also super comfortable and I love that it has the ability while fully zipped to be able to open the foot compartment for breathability and the zippers are made of quality material. This bag is also a great price for how light it is as well. I purchased the regular fit and I’m 5’8” and still got plenty of room. Read more
For some time I’ve been wanting to pick up another sleeping bag for car camping, but kept going back and forth about the best temperature range for my needs. When I saw the Northface Dolomite 1 I was intrigued as I have never seen this kind of multi-use bag before. I was a little skeptical about having interlocking bags with multiple zippers as it seemed a bit cumbersome, and I questioned whether the multi-use concept was too good to be true. But I decided to take a chance, and am very pleased that i did. The bag is very good quality and the color scheme is beautiful. I was initially befuddled by the zipper system, but quickly puzzled it out and can now reconfigure the bag to any one of the three options in a minute or two. I also like the fact that the individual panels can be used separately as throw blankets. My super compact down Northface Blue Kazoo is still serving me well after 30+ years and is my main bag for backpacking, so the much bulkier Dolomite 1 will serve out its life in the back of my Jeep. I really don’t see any downside to this bag, and highly recommend it. Northface even added a velcro flap closure at the bottom of the bag to seal the area where all the zippers converge, so heat loss at the foot of the bag should be negligible. Read more
Used this on a camping trip at the beginning of September. Routinely got down below 30F each night but I was never cold and I slept fantastic. Read more
This is the most-versatile sleeping bag around, with a wide temperature range depending on which layers you use. But it is quite bulky. For me, it was a good choice, as I am planning to use it at a fixed camping site at a festival. It would not be a great choice for backpacking. I would consider it more suited to glamping. Read more
Very good item will be fine for my size wish they made the same one for my husband! Wider for the shoulder Read more
I really want to love this sleeping bag, because it has layers for warmer and colder weather. But the zippers are very confusing. if you unzip the layers, you will never get it back together. So if you want to wash the sleeping bag, you cannot take it apart, you have to wash the whole thing. Read more
