Solid initial impressions
I run much colder than the average person, so I tested this out based off of my typical experience. I have a very high quality down sleeping bag that's rated for 15F but for me, is adequate for only as low as the 30-40F range, therefore, with this bag being rated for 35F, I got this sleeping bag anticipating that it may suit my needs for a summer/shoulder season option, for when nights go down to the 50's or 60's F. I cannot speak to how well this would work for a regular thermoregulating person at 35F. Since it has been single digits outside this winter for weeks now, and will remain quite cold at night for the foreseeable future, I gave this bag a test run in my attic loft space that isn't connected to central heating and has been holding temperatures in the 50's when the space heater is off. For how thin and light it is, it kept me quite warm over the course of the night (wearing a long sleeve sleep tee and leggings). I love the center zip design - makes it easy to pop both arms out and ventilate evenly when it gets too warm. The cinchable hood is great for keeping the head warm. Even though it's a mummy design, I had enough room to keep one leg bent, which is how I like to sleep. The bag rolls up and fits easily back in the provided stuff sack. Happy with the initial test run and looking forward to taking this outdoors once it gets warm. Read more
