Original Review 6/16/2013: ************************************ These work as advertised and are a lot more durable than the cheaper kind with the thin band of metal that is supposed to clip onto your belt(Some people claim they received the cheaper kind when they ordered the premium one, I did not have that problem). I would like to mention I have had this for 8 months, I mainly use it to keep my lighter with my keys, I don't use the extendable part very often(I have a long set of keys on a lanyard and never need to "stretch" or extend the lighter leash to use my lighter) , however I feel it would still be working just fine even if I used that part of it a lot. This thing gets a lot of beating on my keys, stepped on, sat on dropped on the floor and shows no signs of breaking. My cigarette lighters used to last me about 4 or 5 days before getting snagged by someone before I started using this, now I can get literally 4 months use out of each lighter. This thing has paid for itself at least 8 times. I would recommend to anybody who needs to tame their unruly lighter. Update 4/16/2015 ************************************ The string on my lighter leash broke. It happened about two months ago but I am just now getting around to updating this review. I have been using the same lighter leash for almost two and half years. I would say that's a pretty good run. The string broke while I was extending the leash so fortunately I did not lose the lighter, but I could imagine it happening. Which would not be a huge deal anyway considering how many lighters this thing saves. I would purchase this again and recommend it to anybody who carries a lighter with them. Men can attach it to keys (does not look as tacky as wearing it on your belt loop) and women can attach it somewhere inside their purse. It is also perfect for concerts and music festivals. Read more
This functions and fits fantastically for a variety of types of lighters. For the strength and versatility of the product its a great value for the price. And what a fun array of colors to chose from. And I can at least know where 1 lighter is at all times. Read more
Wife bought this to replace her broken one. Then she realized that she could just buy one at the smoke shop in town. So she did. Now I have a lighter leash of my very own. And it is sitting in the junk drawer because I have pockets. However I can leave this review because I watch her use hers and it does the following well. 1. It holds a standard Bic lighter well. 2. It goes out with a nice tension to it. 3. It retracts well. 4. It holds it in place to use the lighter. All in all, a good purchase. She definitely missed having one because she isn't a fan of pockets. Read more

i really like this product despite some minor flaws i have found. some of the issues are limited range when borrowing someone a lighter, especially from across the room and it does not fit lighters that are not bics. i plan on ordering a couple more and keep them strapped to end tables around the house as community lighters and keep one strapped to my belt loop. honestly, it doesnt bother me too much that the cheap lighters don't fit because they were getting me angry at how many flicks it took to get them lit anyways. bics are the standard in lighters and i really don't see it as a big problem that i have to use them. i actually keep lighters until they are dead now, and i always know where my lighters are. this is the reason i bought it, and it clearly preformed its job effectively and efficiently. it might be nice if i could pick the color however, i was happy with white and blue... please do not send me a pink for my next order lol.
