For reference, I’m 5'1" and 116 lbs. I’ve bought and returned so many long skirts before finally finding this one — and I’m so glad I did! It’s been a real challenge to find a skirt that isn’t too long and that also flatters my figure, especially now that a little tummy has started to show since menopause. This skirt is the perfect length for my height, it comfortably tucks in my tummy, and the material is just right — thick enough to feel secure but with a nice amount of stretch. It’s comfortable enough to wear all day, and I love that the side slit is modest — not too high, but still adds a stylish touch. Need more colors in this skirt. Fit is good, as described. Color as described. Length as expected. Washes easily and dries fast. Would recommend. Not sheer at all, very solid. But not what you'd call "high end" looks a little cheap and is clearly nylon or polyester. Stretches a lot and has to be washed and dried to bring back proper shape and size. Also have to take care with pulls in the stretch fake fabric. But is good value for the price, packs well, and would like to buy more in different colors. Very hard to find pencil skirts now. ***UPDATED 5/4/21 I wore this skirt for the first time a few weeks ago, and decided the extra large was way too big (I've lost a little weight through the pandemic). I wanted to get a medium, and there were none available in the off white, so I ordered the small. It's a little tight (shows my curves), but not terribly. And I tend to wear looser tops with my tight skirts, so this is going to work fine. For reference, I'm 5'3", weight around 135 lbs, and I have about a 30" waist, and 39-40" hips. I bought this skirt in mid-calf off white. It is very close to white, which is what I wanted for the summer. I ordered an extra large, although I would ordinarily wear a medium. Having read other reviews, I was afraid a large might be too tight. This skirt fits fine, and if I lose any weight, I may have to take it up a bit. It is slightly see through. I tried it on with dark colored underwear, and you could see the color slightly. I’ll probably wear long shirts with the skirt, or wear yoga leggings underwear with it. Either way, not a deal breaker. The fabric feels slightly more cotton-y than I was expecting, but I like that. Plenty of stretch, which makes it comfortable. Not too clingy, and not too loose. All in all, really happy that I hit this skirt. Once the pandemic is a thing of the past and I start wearing real clothes (ie., skirts, dresses) again, I think I’ll get a lot of great use out of it. I like the straight pencil silhouette and the opacity of the fabric of this skirt. It's thick enough that you don't have to wear a slip under it. I'm petite, so the mid-calf length actually hits and drags on the floor, but I just pull it up under my chest area so it falls to just above my ankles. This skirt was suppose to be an exchange/replacement for an earlier order that came defective and which I returned. I was so disappointed to receive this exchange/replacement item out of the package only to find out that it's way too big, too wide, too long. The skirt tag did not have the size on it whereas the other skirts I have ordered always had the tag with the size sewn to the inside of the back of the waist. This skirt obviously is 2-3 sizes too big. Will be returning this tomorrow. Wanted to return again for an exchange but the only option is to refund me the amount. Read more
This skirt had great potential. I wore it to work and before noon it stretched out so much that I was having to pick up the skirt that had fallen to my hips. It fit fine in the hips and thighs when I first put it on, however the waist was absolutely humongous!! I did like the length of the skirt and the slit on the side of the skirt was very eye-catching and sexy. I will have to get the waist altered. I hope it doesn’t distort the shape of the garment too much. Read more
I purchased skirt in Kelly green. It is nicer than expected. I wear a 18-20 so I order the 3X. I did not want the bodycon look so sizing up was right for me. The fabric is thick enough that it is not see through and smooths out well. I'm short and I like that I can pull it up or down and wear different looks. I purchased for Christmas to wear with a Kelly green top ordered on amazon. This Kelly green will look good in spring time as well. It looks great with leopard ankle boots. I recommended the Kelly green. I will order in other colors but it sounds like the fabrics may be of a different quality. Read more
