Im impressed with this product. I have sensitive skin that reacts to anything and everything. But this was recommended by director pi (iykyk) for people with sensitive skin so I decided to give it a try. FYI. I have very dry skin and questionable skin barrier. Often have eczema fair ups and psoriasis patches. It is incredibly difficult for me to find any type of nourishing or corrective products that won't turn my skin into crocodile skin. This one is quite soothing. It really helps with calming the redness on the face and now that I've used it for 6 months in conjuction with my trusty illiyoon cream, I can feel the difference in the strength of the skin barrier on my face. I didn't have as much flare ups while using this product as well. Leaving this review as I purchase a second one because I think it actually does what it says it'll do which is gentle support to strenthen skin barrier. Read more

I recently received the Lotus Probiotic Concentrate and I love how it feels on my skin. It absorbs beautifully and has a very light scent, barely noticeable, which is good for those with smell sensitivity. I appreciate that it is natural and vegan. However, I am a bit confused about whether this is a serum or a moisturizer. The directions say to use it as the first step, which usually implies a cleanser, but this is not a cleanser. I believe this would replace a serum, so I followed up with my regular moisturizer. As a standalone product, it feels wonderful and my skin feels so smooth after using it. The texture is lightweight and it blends in without leaving any residue, which I love. I've noticed that my skin feels more hydrated. The probiotic ingredients seem to be helping with my skin's overall texture and health. Even though the instructions were a bit unclear, the results have been positive. I experienced no irritation. I also like the pump bottle, which makes it easy to dispense the right amount without any waste. While it might take a bit more experimentation to find the perfect spot for it in my routine, the immediate effects are promising. Given the natural and vegan formulation, I feel good about using it regularly. It's a high-quality product. I'm very pleased with the Lotus Probiotic Concentrate and look forward to seeing more long-term benefits. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because of the lack of clarity. It is a great product for gentle skin care. Read more

This product seems very high-end. The cream is thick and rich, and my skin soaks it up. I love everything about it. Read more

I don't dislike this serum. It is hydrating (though I don't prefer the texture it leaves behind, which is saying a lot because I like very thick, sticky moisturizers). The bottle feels quite luxe, though I feel that's what you're paying for with this pricey skincare. The scent is off-putting for me because it's floral; I would prefer the natural scent of the "fermented lotus" without the added fragrances. Overall it's really not bad, though I won't buy again at $45, and probably not even half that. It's possible that it could give some additional benefits that I don't get with other products since none of my others have probiotics, but I don't enjoy putting it on my skin, so I don't use it often enough to reap those possible benefits. I have dry, sensitive, mature (55+) skin. Pure Lotus YOUTHBIOTICS Lotus Probiotic Concentrate has the texture of a creamy serum and a pleasant, light floral scent that I assume is from botanicals as “fragrance” isn’t listed as an ingredient (though this lists linalool). I’ve been applying this like a serum before my face cream and after cleansing (and toning as needed). This has ferments so I’ve assumed an essence would be kind of duplicative, but I can’t say for sure. I don’t get obvious irritation, but I don’t find this serum (or whatever it is) as comforting as expected given that it has soothing adenosine, centella asiatica extract, camelia sinensis and so on. This doesn’t feel greasy or leave any sticky residue. It feels lightweight, and my skin seems to absorb it quickly. However, it does feel a little occlusive or like something in it is leaving a barrier or film on my skin. The feel reminds me of silicone or something similar. This does add some moisture and makes my skin feel soft (like how it feels from silicone, though squalane also makes my skin soft), yet my skin feels a bit tight and also feels less moisturized than usual despite pairing a few different creams with it that would normally hydrate my skin enough when applied after a good serum. So maybe the issue is this serum lightly irritates my skin and I perceive that as a lack of hydration. Or maybe it just doesn’t hydrate as well as serums I’ve found that are compatible with my dry skin. I’ve also wondered if the occlusive feel I get acts like a barrier that keeps my skin from absorbing my cream as well (don't know if that’s even possible). Or maybe I’m using this product wrong, or it’s best paired with a cream in the same line. I just can’t really say. But I get better results short term using my other serums. I can’t speak to the long term benefits, if any, but this serum does have antioxidants and some good stuff in it. I don’t think this is a bad product, but it’s just okay for me. 3 stars. Made in Korea. Read more
