I put off buying this expensive massager for a long time. Is it really worth the money? Will it really work that well on my sore muscles? After too many days/weeks/months of being super sore after working out and training jiu jitsu i decided to finally try it, and I'm glad I did! Holy crap! After just 5 minutes of using it I can literally feel my sore and tired muscles healing and feeling better. Sore shoulder and neck that hurts with every movement? Virtually gone after 5-10 minutes with the Theragun. Sore legs? Easily massaged out in 5 minutes. I also always hurt my hip flexors in Jiu Jitsu...welp, the Theragun fixed that in one night. It's amazing! I highly recommend it. The only negative is it's still a little loud, and after holding it for a long time your hand will get "buzzy" and kind of numb, and I wish I could reach the middle of my back on my own, so it does help to have a friend (or significant other) to help you use it some times. Knots, gym or muscle soreness? This is what you need. if you are sensitive to touch, this is not for you. The lightest setting is stronger than most other imitators. This will give you that deep tissue action, oh so good! Battery life isn't the best but you shouldn't be using for more than 15 minutes at a time anyway. Get this *now* if you have any sort of muscle tension or soreness! I am amazed at how much relief the Theragun provides in a few short minutes. I bought this product because I had chronic muscle soreness from exercise. I found foam rolling and tennis ball therapy awkward, painful, and mostly ineffective. The muscle soreness and tightness was really making life miserable and I was about to give up boxing because of it. I just got the Theragun and have been blown away by how effective it is at loosening up tight muscles and blasting away knots. After just a few minutes on my quads, hams, and calves, the major tension and pain was gone and it felt like I was walking on air. I can’t believe I suffered so long without it. The gun really looks nice and high quality but it seems the battery is the weakest link and the problem not owned by the company. The moment I bought the gun I have noticed that the battery level drops down very quickly. The box states 120 minutes of continuous use without any disclaimer at which speed. Then I tested it yesterday: 10 minutes of continuous use at 2100 - 2400, the battery level dropped to 55%. I was floating the device without pressing it (one bar showing at the display). This morning I called their support and the first statement was that 120 minutes is not for "high speeds". After I said that I'll test it at 1750, the rep said that under the warranty they replace guns only if they "don't work". I argued that it will stop working after 30 minutes of continuous use, but then he replied that it will work again if I recharge it. That was it - they don't own the problem so the gun is going back. The Theragun Elite is very strong, and has a great battery life. I had the previous generation Elite (G4) and it was louder, but equally as strong. The advantage you get from this unit (G5), is USB C charging, which is universal for smartphones and macbooks now, and it has a nicer matte finish, as well as the new micropoint attachment. The disadvantage to the G5, is the provided neoprene bag, which feels less premium than the older model's included hard case. This was disappointing because it is less protective in the event of a drop. I love the Bluetooth capability, because it will automatically time and start your gun as it leads you through routines. I bought this product on the recommendation of a man who works in sports entertainment. It is a very good investment. This is a true blessing. This works on every body part where I had pain: hip, soles of feet, hands, etc. The Theragun app provides routines to help in treatment for plantar fasciitis and carpal tunnel. The Theragun app has a routine for cycle recovery (which is a blessing for me, as I try to ride at least twice a week). Very wise investment for people who are taking care of their temples. I wish I had bought this years ago! It really helps to get knots out of my shoulders. It is quite powerful and came out of box half charged so we were able to use it right away. The triangular handle makes it easy to hold onto. Read more
