The alert tone when the set time is reached is loud enough to hear if a person is anywhere near where it is being used. I have needed a stand alone timer for a long time but it is just one of those things you don't make a priority. I have a timer on my microwave and stove, but I am always messing it up. When I use either timer, I usually end up using the microwave or the oven and set it differently and disable the timer I was using, and in place, I would use the timer for what I was cooking at that time. I have done that more times than I'd like to admit, then I would not know how much time I actually had left for what I was cooking or baking in the first place. It was clear that I needed a timer that had the ability to set two different times on it, and I don't know why I kept putting that off. I was searching Amazon and I found this little beauty, which has the ability to be set for two different times, separate from the oven or microwave timer. So far it has been lifesaver and I have already saved myself a couple of potential situations that could have turned into timer fiascos, where it would have ended up wiping out the timer that I had set for a roast and for something I was baking. I never knew how much I needed this until I got it. It is easy to set, has a nice, big screen so you can easily see how much time is left, and it is magnetic, so I have it attached to the side of my fridge. It is tough and very well made and the magnets attach securely to the fridge. The ring in the timer could be a bit louder, so knowing that, you just need to make sure you don't wander too far away from it when you have something in the oven, or something you are timing, or make sure to carry the timer with you so that when it does go off you will be sure to hear it. Aside from that, it is very nice and well-made and durable and works very very well. I used it over the recent holidays, and a lot of times I had the need to have two timers going at the same time, and this dual timer served the purpose so well. I no longer have to guess how many minutes something might have left to cook. I just got this timer and while it was very easy to set the time and date on it and the magnet is nice and strong the only thing I don't like and maybe I haven't used it yet but you have to slide the switch on the back to timer in order to use it and then back over to clock if you want to be able to see that which I prefer to have the time showing when not in use. It's not that big of a deal. I bought this as the timer I had was driving me crazy as it was hard to push the buttons and it didn't like to stick to the fridge and when I seen this one I thought it would be perfect and so far so good. It is easy to read and it seems to be durable and love how it has no problems sticking to the fridge. I also got this one because of the dual timer which I use all the time so that was the biggest factor for buying this one. Happy with this purchase and would recommend this. Read more

This is the best kitchen timer I have ever used! It is nice looking and functions perfect for my baking and cheesemaking needs. It has a stop watch function and a whole 24 hour availablitiy for setting a time limit. It has a clock function you can set. I just keep it on timer because I am too lazy to switch it in between, but someone with a little more effort will also have a clock available to them if they don't already have three in their kitchen like I do. Just don't make the same mistake I almost made. I bought a new timer to replace the one I dropped and broke, and the batteries I put in worked but were weak, so the timer made no sound! I have purchased several of these timers, unfortunately because of my foolish errors like dropping them in the sink extra but keep going back to this one. I love having two timers in one. Who doesn’t cook, or for that matter anything else, and just do one thing at a time. It’s accurate, easy to use and compact but very readable without my glasses. Battery life is excellent but one of my favorite functions is the volume control. From soft to loud it’s adjustable making it perfect if I’m in another room. I haven’t found any cons to this point, possibly making it with a three timer function would be awesome or a clip on the back of it to clip to your pocket or shirt would be very handy. This timer works great except for one major issue I was looking for...the buzzer is very faint. I can not hear it if I am in the next room to the kitchen. I want to hear it throughout the house. Read more
