The media could not be loaded. We already had the previous (non-Pro) version of this Thinkware camera in our other car and it has worked really well for us, so we decided to stay with the same brand. We just bought this Pro version for our son’s car and the setup was easy. Video quality looks clear, including at night, and the app makes it simple to check recordings. So far, it’s been very reliable and does exactly what we need. Read more

I've purchased the dual camera package, the usual stuff is included in the package, though I would've been happier if a clip removal tool would've been included. Moving forward to the installation: the included wires are long enough to reach the usual spots. I've installed it on a hatchback, I had to hide/pack about one meter of the wire connecting the rear camera. It worth mentioning that, because of the connector layout on the front cam, rear cam cable connector length and rigidity, I had to place the front cam a few centimeters away from the edge of the windshield, to avoid force build-up in the cable. About the features: the HDR feature only works when the maximum resolution is set. Lower resolution + higher frame rate (60fps) is available, but without HDR. You have to make a choice here. I didn't had the conditions to evaluate if the HDR is "crammed" into 8 bit/channel after processing, or if it is 10 bit HDR as we see in newer phones. To my eye, it looked like 8 bit. Maybe the apps (for Android/PC) need some updates, time will tell. About the image quality: I'm disappointed about the quality of the footage from the rear camera, it looks like a low res video (around 720p or even less) up scaled. The front video is fine, though (opinion derived from a quite low amount of footage). About power consumption in parking mode (RADAR) : current draw is high enough to bring a 60Ah down from 80% to 30% (drainage from 48Ah down to 18Ah) in about 70 hours. If you want to record in parking mode (RADAR), keep these numbers in mind (I hope that future firmwares will help reducing the power draw). Make sure to set the cutoff voltage appropriately, e.g.: no less than 12 or 11.9V when using EFB battery. A note here, the smallest voltage cutoff step that one can set through the mobile app is 0.1V. I would have loved to see smaller steps, such as 0.05V. Battery impact: given that the camera can drain 1/2 of the battery SOC in 70h, when parking more recording is used, expect a shorter life of the 12V battery. Read more

For the price of this unit I was expecting a lot more. I like all of the features and even have the LTE modem paired with it but camera quality wise, even at 4K, it seems like a step down from my older 2K dashcam. Read more

I had been using a Viofo dash cam before this, and the reason I decided to replace it was honestly frustrating. Last year I was involved in an accident, and when I went to check the footage, there was nothing saved at all. I was shocked. After looking into it, the cause turned out to be a card error. I changed the memory card after that, but the problem still came back from time to time, and it became a constant source of stress. A dash cam is supposed to give you peace of mind, so dealing with repeated recording concerns completely defeated the purpose. One of the main reasons I chose Thinkware was the brand reputation. It has a very strong premium image, and being known as the number one brand in Korea definitely influenced my decision. I hesitated at first because it is not an easy product to justify casually, but after reading reviews and spending time looking through Reddit discussions and user experiences, I came to the conclusion that this was one of the best options when it comes to durability and long term dependability. My conclusion is simple. I am extremely satisfied with it. The app works well, which already makes the daily experience much better. The video quality is also excellent, with clear footage that looks sharp and dependable without noticeable degradation. More than anything, the parking mode has been outstanding. That is probably the feature that gives me the most confidence. It feels like this is finally the kind of dash cam setup I can truly trust, both while driving and while the car is parked. I also installed it myself instead of going through a professional installer. Since I added the rear camera as well, the full installation took about two hours. Even so, it was not especially difficult. I was relieved that the power connection process felt much simpler and more user friendly than I expected, so I was able to install it without too much anxiety. For me, this has been a major upgrade in the areas that matter most. Reliability, image quality, app performance, and parking protection all feel strong here. After my experience with missing footage on my previous dash cam, that sense of security matters a lot, and this product has absolutely delivered it. Read more

I finally feel safe leaving my car parked anywhere. The radar parking mode is amazing and catches everything without killing the battery. The video files are easy to access on the app, and the picture is sharp day or night. Installation was straightforward and the it runs flawlessly. Highly recommended for anyone who wants serious protection for their vehicle. Read more

Painful, Bluetooth connection between my Apple 15 pro and the Thinkware camera is poor at best. The Thinkware camera’s Bluetooth signal drops off while viewing the recorded images. The cable that connects the front and rear camera does not have a secure connection. The cable can wiggle loose from the camera, turning the rear camera off. I do like the power connector. It connects to the OBD socket, eliminating splicing into the fuse block for 12vdc power. Camera photos are of good quality. Read more
