In terms of absorption it’s fine, but it’s weird because the absorbent part feels kind of separated from the rest of the boxer. I don’t feel like it fits snugly, and I don’t feel fully protected. I sometimes use it with a pad at the same time, which defeats the original purpose and functionality, but it works for heavy-flow nights so I don’t stain the bed. Extremely happy with purchase. The inner padding layer is wide enough for coverage with movement and it doesn't feel any thicker than an average pair of period underwear. Very happy with absorption. The surrounding shorts are thin with stretch and stay put -- you could probably wear these under a pair of jeans on a heavy day and get by without lines showing through. Yalllll when I tell you I no longer need to worry about bleeding through my clothes when I’m sleeping. Or sleeping on a towel!! I can wear these when I have the heaviest flow and there is NO SORT OF BLEEDING THROUGH!!! And I’m not spending so much on pads!! And not to mention… they are sooo soft and fit so comfortably!!
