If you’re looking for a way to turn your apartment switches into smart switches with HomeKit support - this is a great solution. I have 4 of them. From time to time, there is a connection issue - however, that seems to be the case for all “connected” devices. Super happy with this purchase! Read more

Basically useless. I bought this to set up an automated task of turning a light on and off at standard times, but to do so requires a device, a bridge, three apps that don’t talk to each other, WiFi and Bluetooth that don’t communicate. This should have been easy but after wasting hours not able to connect different devices or being able to reset anything I just gave up. Read more

I bought this product because I previously bought a standalone ThirdReality Smart Switch and the product would be disconnected within a few hours of connecting it. It was basically nonfunctional if I wanted to use it as part of my smart home through the Alexa app. Through my research online, others recommended picking up either a ThirdReality Smart Hub or Bridge to solve this issue with the bridge's capability to connect to WiFi. This immediately solved my issue for one of my two smart switches. I have not had a single disconnect on my smart switch that is less than 6 feet away through a wall. However for my second device that is less than 20 feet away (through two walls), I've run into the same issues I've had previously with disconnection issues. I've already had to reset and reconnect the smart switch device to get it running again. You may have to look at multiple bridges if you have devices spread across your house. In terms of setting up the product, it was very easy to plug in the device and set it up through the 3R-installer app on IOS / Android. The bridge device itself is extremely small and the smart switch is extremely easy to set up through the device. If you are looking to make one of light switches smart, then I would highly recommend this product. This is if and only if you keep your smart bridge / hub within a few feet of your device. I would not recommend this product for use for multiple devices or where the smart hub / bridge would be far away from the smart switch devices. Read more

I had high hopes with these and really worked hard with them but with no real luck. Simply put the hub would pair with one or two or sometimes three (I had bought an extra switch mechanism over what is in the kit) but never managed to stay connected for more than an hour and sometimes as little as a few minutes. This is not a good result for something being installed as a security precaution to turn on porch and deck lights and floodlights. I finally wound up sending the hub to the recycling center in the sky and using the Zigbee capability of my "Alexa" speakers. This worked perfectly and has continued to do so. If I had known I could have saved the money for the hub. Oh, BTW, the switch-activating modules work just fine with the only slight downside being a second of gear sounds when they are operating but that isn't really much of a drawback. Installation of those is simple and seems flexible. Read more

I purchased the THIRDREALITY Smart Switch Starter Kit with high hopes for an easy smart home upgrade, but it ended up being a major disappointment. The setup process was overly complicated, and even after finally getting it connected, the performance was inconsistent. Connectivity issues were frequent, and it didn’t integrate smoothly with my existing smart home ecosystem. Overall, it was more hassle than it was worth. I would recommend avoiding this kit and looking for a more reliable alternative. Pros: - None Cons: - Complicated setup process - Frequent connectivity issues - Poor integration with other smart home devices - Overall frustrating user experience Read more

Get this kit first, and then you can add more switches on if you want. You won’t be able to add them in SmartLife, but you can add them in Google Home to add schedules and control them with your voice. I used this to operate a 4-way switch for my perimeter lights because you really can’t find a 4-way WiFi switch. This manually flips the switch like a human would. Read more

Not great. I gave pretty standard light switches and it didn’t fit on any of them. Couldn’t snap it on at all. If you’re going to do something like this make so that it adapts to deferent screw distances. Read more
