I like the construction and materials. Unfortunately the keypad would not illuminate when touched. It required many touches before it would finally light up but then go dark after the admin code was entered. This made the registering of fingerprints (or any other admin task) impossible. I returned it and ordered a replacement. I'll update this review after I try the replacement. Replacement arrived. Either I have the worst luck or this company has some quality control issues. The problem this time is that after removing the 2 long screws to separate the knobs, I can not get the two halves to separate. They pull apart almost an inch and then lock up. I have to hit one with the heel of my hand to get them back together. I've repeated this several times with increasing force to no avail. I called the service number which eventually went to "leave a message." Gemini (AI) said this problem sometimes happens due to a manufacturing flaw and suggested the halves be placed tightly together and to give the smaller knob (?) a quarter turn then sharply pull the knobs apart. I tried this several times without success. If my e-mail to support doesn't solve the problem I'm returning this one and will look for another smart lock. Read more
