I hit my thumb in my car door. Pretty sure nothing's broken, because it doesn't hurt, but it started kind of clicking when I bend it. The internet says it's probably a ligament issue (I know, go to a doctor) but I thought I'd try this first. I mean, what are they going to do other than give me a splint anyway? The metal ones are great. They are sturdy and surprisingly comfortable. A little hard to put on by myself, but it's doable. What I really like is the black velcro one they also included. This one is much easier to wear to work and still type. If you don't need the tip of your thumb covered, this is a great option. I've been sleeping with it on, it's that comfortable. And unlike my hand braces, it doesn't make my hand go numb. I've velcro-ed and unvelcro-ed these multiple times over the last week, and they're still working. These are great. Read more

The Velcro is very strong on these 2 pack of thumb braces. Each one is very lightweight (.2 oz) and very easy to use. They offer protection while using and from anything that can bump into your thumb causing more injury. Each one measures just over 2”. The velcro strap will catch on your clothing and basically anything you touch that is soft fabric. It's also really abrasive. If you wear this to sleep, which you would with a broken finger, you're going to wake up with scratches all over your arms, face and chest. Read more
