I wasn't sure this would be as good as the regular sized Thunderheads, but it is every bit as good quality. I love how the eye embroidery looks expressive, but not mean. It is a bit big for a keychain although would be great for finding your keys in a large cluttered bag. It's also perfect for keeping a toddler busy any time you need to distract them. Heat Wave is about 1/3 the size of my sunshine plush, but still made with the same quality and attention to detail. The stitching is all secure and this plush is built to last years. Read more

We are obsessed with weather and tornadoes in our house and this little guy was too cute to pass up. The eyes give the tornado personality and it's very cute. Small enough not to be imposing when clipped onto a backpack. The clasp itself is so nice and sturdy. I love keychains with claw clips rather than just rings as this makes them easy for anyone to use. My kid is able to clip it and unclip it. Which is nice as it gets moved around a lot in the house. Sometimes he sits on a dresser knob in the kids rooms, sometimes he's on a backpack going to school. other times he's just laying on the table. It's small enough it's not imposing and doesn't take up space. When clipped on the backpack it hangs nicely. It's plush and squeezable. so you can also play with it when it's in your hands. So far it's held up with travel and wear and tear of a household that loves bringing him around the house. Pretty much can go anywhere you clip it, so pretty versatile for where you clip it. It's fun for kids who love tornadoes and I personally thought it was cute. It's cheap enough that for someone who real likes tornadoes or weather or natural disasters, they'll love it. This Thunderheads Tornado Plush Keychain would make a great little learning tool for a young person, but I actually ordered it for myself because I love unique keychains. I was a bit disappointed when it turned up in a plastic bag, because the listing page shows it in a pretty gift box, but I guess I should have known better considering the price point. It is the perfect size to not get lost in the depths of my purse. I also like that it is made from recycled materials, and even though it's polyester, it looks like felted wool to me, which just makes it that much cooler. The design of it is great, very amusing and I like that the eyes are pretty much expressionless, leaving one in doubt of where this little troublemaker is heading next. It looks to be well sewn with no glaring defects and sturdy as well, or at least as sturdy as a fabric trinket can be. And of course the enclosed educational card is a nice touch. The only thing I wish were better is the keychain itself. The chain links and the metal ring feel a bit light and I wish they were beefier, since I am actually using it as a keychain rather than a purse or backpack charm. Other than that, it is a cute and whimsical way to keep my keys together, and likely a conversation starter as well. Currently this keychain is selling for $9.99, and I certainly can't argue with the price. Read more

Thunderheads plushes are always great quality and come with an educational message attached that both kids and parents can learn from. The embroidery is great, it's stuffed properly, has a loop for hang displaying and the material is soft to the touch. I'm a big fan of these plushes from Thunderheads and this little tornado keychain plush is no different. Item arrived just as pictured and described and is the perfect little addition for my son as we live in TX I found this to be a good way to educate him about them and make it fun at the same time. It’s a nice size that if you look at it you will know exactly what it is and it’s soft and plush and has been filled with plenty of filling inside. It's colorful soft and plush, with enough filling for a stress-relief or fidget squeezer. The lobster clasp seems well-made, and has a good grip. I score this at 4 instead of 5 - although it's made of colors associated with heat and fire, I don't see how this keychain with a plush toy could be used for education.
