The material feels and looks super-thin which made me question how they would fit. To my surprise, they had a snug, comfortable fit. These are advertised as a mid-waist fit, but they are more like a bikini-cut pair of underwear. Each pair has a black-colored leak-proof barrier, regardless of the panty color, that gives multi-layered protection against leaks. These are advertised to absorb up to 30 ml ( 1 ounce or 2 TBSP for those who are a little metric challenged). This offers young girls security while not adding extra bulk or thickness. The black liner also helps to hide stains. They are machine washable and tumble dry. I ordered these in a size 10-12 and they fit true-to-size. The cost of a 7-pair pack was $49.99, which breaks down to about $7.00 per pair. This may at first seem expensive, but we are talking about leak-proof underwear for young girls who are in need of a layer of extra protection and security against leaks that can be extremely embarrassing! These underwear look to be well-made with good stitching that should be durable through many washings. Note: These work well not just as period underwear, but also for those girls that haven’t started their period yet. They work well for girls who wait too long to go to the bathroom as they do not want to stop what they are doing and wait until the last minute to run to the bathroom. That is well worth the cost! One of the biggest positives is the quantity you get in the pack so that you can wear a pair while washing another. It’s nice to have so many pairs on hand. The colors are cute and age-appropriate, and I appreciate the absorbent black liner, which helps hide stains and looks more discreet. I also like that they have a no-show design and a bikini-style cut instead of a bulky granny-panty fit, making them feel more like regular underwear and easier to wear under everyday clothes. In terms of function, they are suitable for light to moderate flow and work best as backup with other products. They fit comfortably and don’t feel overly thick, which is important for confidence at school or during activities. That said, I do have a couple of concerns. The seams appear to be glued rather than fully stitched, and I worry about how well they’ll hold up after multiple washes. Longevity may be an issue over time. I’m also not a fan of the fabric blend.
