Anti-slip sports sunglasses for Men and women. At first glance these sunglasses kinda looked like they were gonna be some type of overpriced safety glasses but, I’m happy to say I was very wrong. Much to my surprise, after opening these I was first impressed by the quality of the packaging. These ship in a very nice heavy slide out box with a micro fiber polishing cloth and a micro fiber drawstring bag. These have a solid feel and weight in the hand with a soft to the touch almost rubbery texture. The frames are constructed of a semi transparent composite material over a solid metal core. The ear pieces have a textured grip to help hold them firmly yet comfortably on your head without the fear of them falling off whenever you happen to be looking down while fishing, biking, running, etc. The hinges are also made of metal and have a tight yet smooth action that stays where you put them. The tinted mirrored finish of the lenses from the outside echoes the color of the frames. The biggest surprise of all is how clear, crisp, detailed and high def everything looks through these sunglasses. The lenses are rated at UV400 protection and have just the right amount of tint without being overly dark. These are so comfortable and perfectly tinted that after wearing them outdoors for a little while I actually forgot I was wearing them at all. When I got these I was expecting them to be some kinda cheap “knockoff” or “clone” of one of the major brands but, after receiving and wearing these I was shocked by the overall quality, fit and finish. These are a great value for the money as these punch way above their price point. I’d dare to say these rival many others costing two to three times their price. They are quite good sunglasses, I don't feel that they are 3x better than the $20 sunglasses I've had. It included a decent protective bag and cleaning cloth, as well as some stickers. Those are decent extras, but the price point for performance seems off. If you are going to just buy one pair, perhaps that's not a big deal, but if you are stocking all your cars with sunglasses for two, it rapidly becomes an issue. They are light, and they feel nice on my face and ears. No distortion or rough finishes. Can wear them for extended periods without issue. I use sunglasses when I'm having a migraine to help me continue to function, and they will work fine for that, but against the $20 pair they are replacing, they are much nicer in appearance, but only slightly better in function. The media could not be loaded. I thought these would be cheap knockoffs of a more mainstream brand, but they're actually rather well engineered. I saw a couple of the less stellar reviews before these arrived, but those folks probably never actually tried these out; if they had, they would agree with the assessments of others (who actually have media proof of their use in their reviews). I typically wear some fairly high-end brands that are named after a famous trick-shot artist whose first name was Annie, some that are named after a famous plain in Africa, and others that purportedly 'ban rays,' so I'm very familiar with what makes good sunglasses stand out from the cheap knock-offs. These are, in a nutshell, some quite good glasses, and yes, I was VERY surprised when I came to that conclusion. Check out the video attached to my review for more details, but here's what makes them very good, especially for the price. For what it's worth, I got the green frames, which means the lenses may be a bit different than the other colors: - Chromatic lens with a mirror external finish that blocks the sun beautifully while highlighting colors with a blue-blocking tint under the chromatic finish. - Stainless steel screw construction. Even the lenses are held in place with screws (through the corners of the lenses!), preventing these from coming loose or failing in short order from corrosion caused by sweat. - Textured earpieces that help to grip the sides of your head to prevent slipping - Comfortable (and replaceable) nose pads that are anti-slip and feel comfortable even on high-bridge and wide noses - Reinforced frames. Cheap sunglasses just use plastic for the frames. These have metal reinforcement running throughout, which will keep them sturdy and functional for years to come. Not even my Wayfarers have that. The futuristic styling pulls off a modern, sporty look, without having to be ironic like Pit Viper and other beach/bike glasses out there. I thought they'd make me look rather gym-rat, but surprisingly, they don't. They come with extra gear like a microfiber lens cloth, and storage bag, as well a rather nice presentation box. There's also a sheet of stickers/decals, but the slogans on them definitely didn't translate well. Those are the only things that actually seem cheap. My two issues are that they aren't true wrap-around glasses; yes, they have a bit of a curve, but not enough. The sun can get in through the sides, but they're still better than straight glasses with no curve. The lenses on mine are not polarized either. You can test this out by turning them 90 degrees and seeing if things like a polarized LCD screen get blotted out. Not a big deal in this case. Definitely worth a buy. They stay put, don't dislodge when sweaty, are well-made, and should last a long time. Pictures included with this review: 1. Everything that comes with the glasses. 2. Nice sunglasses. If they meet your style then you wont be disappointed. They are a little expensive to be honest so make sure you really are into the style. Seem durable; fit nice. Fairly comfortable. Read more
I'm always looking for a new pair of sunglasses for construction work, cycling and general use. I prefer glasses that have good coverage/protection and that aren't too dark. These seemed like they might work for me when I ordered them. The style isn't quite what I imagined when I saw them online. Kind of Robocop meets Daft Punk. Too flashy for me but I thought I might still use them for construction work. The main problem is the fit. They kind of teeter on the bridge of my nose, rocking back and forth, and never really feel right. They are lightweight and have good coverage but not a pair that I'll be reaching for often.
