Unfortunately, I was leaving for a trip shortly after I got this, so I wasn’t able to test it on a granite seam, but I was able to mix a small amount of epoxy with some colorant and it performed wonderfully. The kit came with everything I could possibly need. It included, stir sticks, sanding pads, the epoxy and colorant, a spreading spatula, and adhesive squares to help with cleanup. There is a very generous amount of both A and B, and while it might not seem like you’re getting a lot of color, the color are so pigmented you really don’t need much, so I imagine this kit will last you quite a long time. The ratio is one to one, so I just eyeball a small piece sized amount of A and B and then tested out the black. I simply dipped a toothpick into the black and deposited it on the cardboard, then mixed it into the fully mixed epoxy to avoid contaminating the color. It took a couple drops to get a nice black, but it turned out very nicely. The viscosity of the mixture made it easy to work with, and cleanup was a snap. I did not use the included adhesive to contain the mixture as I was simply testing on cardboard. I would imagine that any kind of packing tape would work just as well. There was no heavy smell during use, although it’s always recommended to use this product in a well ventilated area or with some kind of breathing protection. It is entirely possible to mix this away from the worksite and then bring it to where you need to use it. After 24 hours the epoxy head dried rock hard, and even when I pressed on it with my fingernail, it left no impression. As you can see from both pictures it has a very nice high sheen to it. As for durability, obviously only time will tell so. I’m really not able to rate that as of yet. Just how good this product looks is going to depend upon your ability to correctly color match, so it’s a very artistic repair. Something that should be kept in mind because your ability to color mix correctly is really going to determine just how in detectable your repair is. Overall, I found the kit very easy to use. The box is small enough to easily store, so it’s handy for future surface repair emergencies. I’m really glad I bought this and I’m looking forward to making my granite countertop look perfect! My Corian counter had cracked in two places. Rather than replacing the whole countertop, I removed the cooktop and repaired the cracks using clamps and a strong epoxy adhesive. While this worked, it resulted in an ugly black line from the epoxy. I've lived with it for several years since it was a better solution than replacing the whole countertop. However, those ugly Black lines have bothered me and now. this product helps alleviate/lessen. From a distance, the cracks are no longer visible. Overall, this is a very good repair product. I am no artist and, I cannot compare colors well but, with careful tests, I came pretty close. To use, I had to use my Dremel to cut a V-grove to create depth in order to use this as a filler. If you are repairing a chip, this step would not be necessary. The one problem with this is it results in a solid color and if your repair requires multi colors, or perhaps embedded flakes, like my counter, it will require expertise I personally do not have. However, even though not a perfect match, from a slight distance the cracks are not noticeable anymore. The included colors are also very intense so be careful in the amount of colorant you use. I found using a toothpick to put very SMALL drops of color worked best as only a little color was needed You can always add more). After applying, give it time to properly harden and then sand with the included sandpaper. Three grits are included: 120, 600 and 1,000 grit The amount of epoxy is more than enough for most repairs so, just test with a little amount to find the right combination. Note: as far as I know this is only a FILLER and I cannot attest to its ability to bond two surfaces like epoxy adhesive does. Read more

This kit has provided you with all of the little details that you might need to help repair a countertop. The epoxy included has a smell, as expected, but not too extreme. This kit included a color pallet of primary colors, black and white, which should give you any color you may need. The yellow is interestingly more of an ochre rather than a bright yellow. The supplies provided with this kit should give you two separate applications, depending on how much area you are trying to repair. The instructions on how to use the products is on the box. While the process is simple, you need to have a good sense of color matching. The instructions are accurate, but simple. Stickers are provided to cover areas you do not need to repair. You can also use blue painters tape to protect other areas. The overall process is quite simple - tape off the problem area, mix the epoxy, match the color, let it dry and cure, sand and smooth. When you mix the colors, make sure to start out with just a dot of color and adjust slowly rather than mix too much. The color seems to stay the same after curing. So far, this repair has been durable and looks so much better with the repair. If you just have a small area to repair, this kit can be kept on hand to make future repairs. Read more

This tile, marble and granite repair kit makes it easy to touch up minor chips and cracks rather than resort to costly replacements. I was able to colormatch fairly closely my kitchen tile, which had a small chip where a pot was dropped. The "hard way" to repair would be to swap out the tile, and endure all the mess, labor and regrouting that would involve. The easy way was the use of this kit, which included everything needed. It's not a perfect match, but pretty doggone close by mixing the colors with the provided paints. The epoxy ensures durability for a lasting effect. Great little kit! Read more
