Compact, lightweight, very sturdy, made well, provides great back support, & comfortably holds my 350# son. The chair is wide & that makes a difference in comfort. This is the 3rd one I’ve purchased; one to hold in my car when needed, one for my son for his family outings & this one I purchased to use in my Apt. I’m a senior w/mobility issues so getting up & sitting is always a challenge. This chair provides me secure, comfortable & proper support for sitting & getting up. I now need to find a covering for it that doesn’t make it look like an outside chair. It’s always challenging when I first try to open it up. The side table with the cell & drink pockets are wonderful extras. Read more
There is only one thing that slightly bothered me with this chair. And that was the built in cup holder on the right side of the chair. There was nothing wrong with the cup holder, In fact I think it would come in handy if you are using it for a day on the beach or Camping. It's just that for my use the cup holder made the footprint of the chair slightly larger than I needed. The chair is a little tricky to open the first time but that was because I did not bother with reading the directions included with the chair. Once you see the procedure of opening the chair It's incredibly easy to open and close. Comfort: 10/10, Portability: 10/10, Sturdiness: 10/10 ( I weigh 250 LBS and it 100% stable). I am 6'3" and have a 38" waist....the seating area is more than wide enough to accommodate me. Believe it or not, use it as an office chair and there are many days that I spend over 8 hours in it without any fatigue. The material seems durable and the craftsmanship is 10/10. Don't hesitate in purchasing one of these chairs...they come in useful in many situations! Read more
These chairs are awesome. We've had a pair of them for approximately six months and use them every weekend. They are sturdy, compact and comfortable. I am nearly 300 lbs and I feel safe in them. We like them so much we bought both our parents a set Read more
This chair is practically perfect for me. I'm 6'4 300lbs and most manufacturers are wildly optimistic about their products' weight limits. Could this chair hold 400lbs? I don't know. Does it hold 300lbs confidently? Yes! I find that the feet flat on the ground seating position (arguably the least comfortable seating position) is actually comfortable, as does my friend who is 5'6. We both felt like there was room to adjust in the seat as needed. These fold into a neat square that I find works well with how I pack my vehicle for camping and day trips. Compared to other products in this class of sturdiness these are smaller when transporting and weigh roughly the same. The fabric feels robust and I do not notice any stress on any of the seams or connections to the frame. Do read and follow the included instructions regarding folding/unfolding. This is not intuitive though it makes sense once you've done it. Read more
This chair is nice and compact. It is smaller for me to carry. I bouht a strap to make it able to be carried by the strap. Some pros and cons. Pros Smaller and portable. Orange. lol So much more comfortable to sit in then the other directors chairs we have. Sturdy, would hold my very larger friend. Nice big table on the side. Sits very sturdily on the ground. Doesn't seem to have any desire to bend, flip, or turn over while sitting in it. Cons HARD to get unfolded the first few times until you get your grove on how to open. Do NOT try to open it one-handed either. The table pops out whether you want it or not (many times I don't use the table), makes it kind of hard for 2 people to share an umbrella at a rainy soccer game. Because it is compact, it feels like it is heavier then the other directors chairs, but it is not, just has a different sense of gravity (easier to carry with a strap, NOT included). The storage pocket is kinda awkward to use for a larger person. Needs a bit of a bigger handle for carrying (unless you get a strap, then it's a moot point). So, in retrospect, it is comfy, sturdy, and easy to carry with a strap. I will keep it, as I enjoy the comfy much more then the argument I had with it the first time I tried to open it by myself. lol Overall, it is a good chair for the price, and has a larger weight rating for if someone else uses it. If it wasn't for the fact that the table automatically extends, it would be a 5 star review. The other cons are not even close to deal breakers for me. Read more
I have a bad back due to an old injury. Every other chair out there I could not get out of because my back isn't strong enough to deal with wobbling chairs. I bought two of these for camping, expecting the same to happen, but we did need camping chairs. Was I ever happy when I first sat in it- it was so comfortable and very sturdy. When I tried to get up, I couldn't believe it- first time since my back injury that I have been able to get out of a camping chair by myself! Everyone that has sat on these chairs while we were camping- our adult children, best friend, and other friends and family loved them so much, they all ordered a couple themselves. I highly recommend these chairs. Timber Ridge, thank you for making my camping life a joy again, especially around the campfire! Read more
I love this chair. I won't lie it's very cumbersome to get open but once you get the hang of it, it's not too bad. The chair is super comfortable very sturdy well worth the price. Read more
Excellent folding chair. I use for film sets. Slightly expensive but I think worth it. I have about 10 various chairs and this is my favorite so far. Tad heavy becuase I pack up and tote it around all day but it’s not too bad and I like it. I like that it fold down too it’s small folded. Read more
