First and foremost purchase your belt a size larger than your waist. I recently purchased my third Timberland Pro belt. I love the smell of new leather. This belt is strong, durable and will handle anything you do. It will prevent you showing the cravk of your @$$ when bending over. I am a painter who is constantly climbing ladders, bending over, scootching, leaning, reaching, twisting or getting down on my knees to reach low areas to repair and/or painting. This belt is well built and can handle stress. Before using this leather belt I sprayed it with a water proofer that I also spray on my nubuck Timberland Pro steel toe boots so it can resist the exposure to moisture like rain or sweat. The only reason why I am replacing my old belt is because it curled in the middle of where my back is. I love the Timberland brand. I'm the type to not have just 1 belt that you gotta swap from pants to pants to shorts or something, nah. I'd sooner have each pair of jeans or short have it's own belt. It's an expensive way to be of course, but who ever said being fussy was cheap! But so then I'm particular with my belts, they have to be of good leather quality (no cheap synthetic junk), and also good buckle design (nothing w/miniature screws into the belt holding it onto the belt). This line of Timberland belts satisfy my fussiness and are one of my favorites to use. This particular one is also dark navy blue, which honestly I half feared a dye would run off onto clothing or car seats or something. Thankfully I've had a couple/few of these and that has not happened. These have also gone the distance for me. Now it's not like I've had them for 10 years or something (they may go that long, we'll see!), but on the other side of that coin, they haven't fallen apart or given me any grief inside of a year from purchase, much like a couple hard learned lessons in belt quality from some cheaper-made belts in the past, never again.
