I have been pining over these boots for years. I read that they ran small and weren’t very friendly to bigger calves so when I pulled the trigger I ordered a 9.5 wide while I normally fit an 8 wide. Even though I ordered up by that much they were still very tight over the middle of my foot and I had to spritz them with water and use a shoe stretcher to loosen that area. The upper end did not cover the tongue due to my calf size so I made laces out of medium width satin ribbon. This added to my girly goth aesthetic and the width of the ribbon covers the gap between the boot and tongue. Although it took some work to break these in, it was well worth it.
