Just get it -- even if you're not handy!

As someone who had never used a power drill prior to mounting this pull up bar, I debated getting a wall mounted pull up bar vs. a full cage with a pull up bar. In the end, I'm extremely glad I got this Titan Fitness Adjustable Pull Up Bar for my home gym. It was relatively easy to mount (compared to putting together a power rack). It takes up no floor space. It is cost effective. It took me about an hour to mount by myself, using a drill, stud finder, pencil, leveler, and the provided wrench. If you have a second pair of hands, it would be even quicker (given the hardest part was making sure the bar was leveled). The bar is super sturdy. In the past 5 months that I've mounted and used this (daily) for regular pull ups and kipping pull ups, I have only tightened the screws once. Other than that, this bar has not budged. It is also versatile. In addition to doing pull ups, I attach TRX and resistance bands to get in a variety of other exercises into my workout. What I appreciate about this particular pull up bar over others that I researched is that the length is adjustable! Although I thought the studs in my garage were the standard 16" apart, I discovered an inconsistency where the studs I needed ended up being 42" apart rather than the expected 48". Luckily, the length is adjustable, so it didn't turn out to be much of a problem. Read more

Epic, affordable and sturdy pull up bar

The media could not be loaded. First of all, the product description (in the time of purchase) says that the material is "wood" and it is not; it's 100% sturdy metal. I bolted the brackets directly in the studs on my living room wall. I did it by myself and it was easy. - First, I went to Home Depot and got #17 nut diver with 3/8" adapter. I found these in the tools section. Make sure to take one of the bolts with you to buy right tools. You also need a stud finder if bolting to studs. You also need a leveling tool that has a magnet on side (makes life easier). You need an impact driver and a drill. - First, you need to find two studs that are about 4 feet away from each other. When finding studs, it's very important to find all the studs on the wall. Studs are usually 16" apart. I chose two perfect studs that were 4' away. - First, I decided that the lower bolt would be positioned 72" from floor (I am 5'8" and that was good for me. You have to compute the ideal height) - I marked two holes and made sure they are on studs. And then put holes by drill. When drilling, this gives you another reassurance that you are working on stud and not on drywall. - I used the impact driver and bolted the brackets up-side-down to the lower hole not all the way in -- a little loose. - Then I attached the bar when brackets were upside down to make sure is level and it was! I removed the bar. - Next, I attached the magnet level to the brackets one by one and when they were in vertical level, I marked the top wholes. I made sure that the holes are on studs by using the studfinder. - Then, I put holes by drill and put both bolts by impact diver loose enough. - Next, I attached the bar again, fastened its bolts and test the level one more time. As I expected, it was level since we measured it in the beginning. - Finally, I fastened all bolts and I started working out! ~~~ Love having Titan in my life :) ~~~ Thank you Titan, the god of sun <3 Read more

Very good and sturdy once installed... holes misaligned and required filing to level them out...

Matthew WilsonAugust 15, 2023✓ Verified purchase

This pull up bar is very good once it is installed. It is very sturdy. I weigh about 165 and hang upside down with gravity boots, use gymnastic rings, and can even do kipping pull ups comfortably. I used longer lug nuts as was suggested in other comments. I ran into an issue with installation. The holes in the support bars were misaligned so I needed to file them down to level them out. This was a hassle and I just wish that I should have been expecting this. Other than that the bar is a little fat, but that is simply preference. Overall I am very happy with the purchase. Read more
