This arrived promptly and in good condition. Box was a bit beat up but the product itself was in excellent condition, it also came with hardware for installation but not appropriate for installing on masonry. I installed it on a cinderblock wall, which was an ordeal and required a good amount of research to finally properly install. I already had a hammer drill available but needed to buy hardware and a 3/8” Masonry drill bit. Initially thought bolt anchors or sleeves would be sufficient to install but they wouldn’t catch. Ended up using 3/8” tapcon screws to attach some 2x4s to the wall and then 2.5” lag screws to attach the pull-up bar to the 2x4s. After a few test reps I noticed one of the tapcon screws wasn’t as secure as I initially thought and had to add some copper wire to the drill hole to help the tapcon catch. That’s not a fault of the seller or the product! But it would be nice if it at least came with instructions for installing on various materials. Now everything golden. The pull-up bar itself is extremely solid and well made. I’m 6’2 220lbs and there’s no issue for me at all. Pull-ups are obviously fine, so are toes-to-bar, and I’ve even added gymnast straps/rings. I don’t have the ceiling height to try a muscle up but I’m 100% confident that if this is properly secured to the wall it will hold whatever you wish to do; and it will not shake or rattle whatsoever. Highly recommend this product Read more

I recently stopped going to a commercial gym due to time constraints and other issues. I have a small set up in my house that I now use. Before, I was using a doorway pull up bar, but was looking for something more heavy duty that I could attach my suspension trainer to. The system arrived early and in great condition. The two L-brackets and the center bar are all heavy duty steel with a very nice and thick layer of powdercoating. The wall brackets have 2 holes for the bar to slide through, allowing you to mount the wall brackets individually, thus making installation easier. Installation: I used 2 heat-treated 2x10s on top of a finished wall perpendicular to the mounting holes; one across the top (4 holes) and one across the bottom (two holes). I spanned 2 stud spaces, for a width around 32". In addition, I ran 2 lag screws into the top and bottom 2x10s for extra support. Given the thickness of the wall bracket, the 2x10, and the drywall, 6" lag screws were required (I used 5/16"), which brings me to my next comment about hardware. No, they dont supply much hardware. There are 6 anchors included, but most of us will be mounting to wood. They have no way of knowing your specific installation, thus have no way to ensure they give you the correct hardware; not to mention, including a bunch of extra hardware would drive up the cost, especially since most of it wouldn't get used. After mounting the the wall brackets, the bar slides through the holes in the brackets and is locked down with a bolt on the top of each bracket. Use: I find 32" to be a good width for any style of pull-up/muscle up/leg raise etc. It also allows the bar to stick out of each side of the bracket, giving me a convenient place to store various other gym equipment. When secured properly, there is absolutely no movement or rattling of any kind that is common with lower quality systems. The bar's power coat gives it just enough roughness to be easily gripped. Grip tape would definitely be helpful if you find it necessary. The bar diameter is slight larger that a standard barbell which i really like for 2 reasons; it distributes the load more evenly across the hands, and forces more grip strengthening. I am extremely happy with this system. It's a very simple, easy to install design. Every home gym needs a pull up bar. If you are looking for a very high quality, very reasonably priced pull up system for your home gym, this is it. Read more

I bought this in December 2017, so no comments on longevity other than speculative ones below. The box it came in was a little beat up, but everything in it was intact and in excellent condition. I had a different multiposition pull-up bar but it had to be on studs 48” apart, and I only had 36” of space, so this fit the bill perfectly as the bar can extend from the mounts. Really impressed with the quality. Welds are excellent, finish is fantastic. I mounted on 1x4s cut to 36”. Once mounted, even at 260+ with weight vest on, this thing doesn’t wiggle. Excellent value and incredibly easy to install. I can’t imagine this not lasting forever. The screws that keep the bar from spinning work great, and I was a little worried about them. Not a single complaint about this at all. Re install, I used slightly longer lag bolts than it came with due to the 1x4. First I stacked the 1x4s, then sat one of the sides on them and drilled pilot holes through the holes in the mount and both boards. Then I found the stud and marked holes on the wall through my pilot holes. I double checked each mark with the stud finder, then drilled my pilot holes into the wall. Then I attached the 1x4 to the wall with a small screw, lining up the pilot holes. Finally, I ran the bolts through the rig, 1x4, and into the wall, tightening by hand with a socket wrench. That easy. Read more
