Very cool pill container
I got this because it is titanium and looks like it could have been a prop in a Star Wars movie. If that wasn't the case, I wouldn't have paid for it. I don't need titanium for allergy reasons; I just like it. I find this very nice, but it is easy to tighten it too much, and then it can be tough to open. I handle this by putting some food-grade silicone grease on the threads, but you still have to be careful or it will be tough to open, which is mostly because it is a little hard to get a good grip on it, and if your hands are cold, wet, or sweaty, you may be stuck. However, that may also help little fingers be unable to access the contents. I have used those really grippy rubber jar opener things to grip it tight enough in case I overtighten it. They work well, but it's best to just not overtighten it. Read more

Extremely difficult to open
Unfortunately the threading is impossible what a shame for such an excellent design. Not designed for ease of use. At time it requires tools just to open. Read more

Easier to grip than the plain version, but this one sticks even worse. Threads NEED redesigning
This could be great. The plain version doesn't have good surfaces to grip to make it easy to open, but the one I had at least had consistent resistance when loosening it. This mecha one should be better, it's a lot easier to grip and put force in to opening or closing it. The base has a more squared off profile and the chunky design features to grab on to. Unfortunately, this one more often than not gets practically stuck when closed. I suspect there's a heat component to it, if it's not body temperature it's a bit easier to open sometimes. So worse threads than the plain one plus a grippier design still doesn't work. The fact that the threads seem tighter to me suggests you might have better luck with a different sample, but for what these cost the design needs improvement. A coarser and more forgiving thread would be ideal. Titanium doesn't move as smoothly in these applications anyway, when compared to aluminum or steel, etc. Read more
