Got this as a Christmas present for my husband and he really liked it! It actually cuts decently well, especially for the design of pizza or other things like cutting quesadillas for our son. The size actually fits very well in the palm of your hand and does the job being a sharp as it was when we got it. And for the money, it is actually a very pretty knife and has a decent weight to it. Super sharp. Amazingly so. Be very careful with it. The hammered blade is very nice and the handle is sturdy and solid. My husband really likes the leather sheath that comes with it. He has only used it a few times so far, once cutting up a roast chicken, and once for chopping up fresh cilantro. It cut through the chicken as easily as cutting through butter and chopped the cilantro quickly and cleanly. We did buy a curved chopping block to use when chopping herbs as the curve works well with the curved knife blade. Read more

Looks just as cool in person. Yes, it works on pizza but it’s awesome as a mezza Luna blade. Very sharp! Read more

I saw this and decided to try it because my kitchen is my most loved hobby! I was NOT disappointed! It happened to arrive the day before I was going to make a big batch of beef stew. It made such quick work of cutting up the meat, and best of all my wrist wasn't killing me from all of the cutting. It also comes with a beautiful leather holding pouch to protect the blade. I have used it several times and am so happy with it. Read more

My first ulu. Great tool for choping or dicing food prep. Nice materials and looks. Appears to be a high carbon steel. Which means it can rust, and needs to be sharpened occasionally. Somehow I chipped of one of the end point tips. Sharpens quickly with a diamond sharpener bar. Liked the ulu design so much I purchased a small one for my motorcycle camping food prep. Read more

Be careful with this knife. I cut myself the first day just wiping off the protective oil on the knife blade and I was being careful (I thought). Super duper sharp. The handle is real wood, beautifully stained and polished. The rivets are brass I think. The leather protective case is real cow hide. Very, very thick and sturdy with a solid closing snap. Nothing about this ULU knife reads Cheap or Flimsy. When you go walrus hunting in the Arctic, this definitely needs to go with you although I bought it for dicing herbs. My walrus and seal hunting days are lone done. Read more

It's sharp enough that care must taken but could be sharper. I have yet to pull out my sharpening stones but assume it can be improved upon. I haven't tested functionality and egde retention but it's one of those knives that you pull out just to used it. I assume it will require more sharpening then high-end metal but am not worried about it. That said, I've got a number of good knives ranging in cost from cheap to super expensive and there are better form factors. I still bought 5 more for some of my friends. Lol. Anyone whining about rust being a sign of inferior metal is ignorant, as the most expensive knives actually take more care and must be dried and often sometimes oiled more quickly. For a knife that cuts under $30, it's a good value and ridiculously cool. Side note: If you can't get to a gun during a home invasion I'd grab this...Preferably two...lol Read more
