Power Supply Stopped Working and Had Burn Marks
While this power supply mentioned it was the 24V I was looking for and would work for LED light strips, it definitely did not. I ran the LED for about 3 hours a day for maybe 3 weeks. This could be a major fire hazard. Pay close attention to the voltage and amps that you need to supply the length of the LED strip you have. This power supply only offers 1A. Most need much higher. Got extremely hot
I used this 24v power adapter to plug in sticky strip lights that call for a 24v plug. I plugged them in and within a few moments the plug made a popping sound and was extremely hot. I’m thankful I was nearby so I could immediately unplug it. The only reason I could think this would happen is if the strip lights were more powerful than stated. Even though they specifically called for 24v. Or if the plug isn’t truly powerful enough for 24v. Either way I tossed it in the trash for fear of overheating again. Read more
First adapter was DOA, exchanged for a new one which works great with my LED COB light strip
I got this specifically to use with a piece of LED COB lighting that I had lying around, which had a receiver with a DC jack ending attached. For peace of mind, I was looking for an adapter that is UL listed, and it had to be 24V to work with these lights. The first adapter sent to me didn't work at all, but they processed a return turnaround within 24 hrs and the exchanged item works great.
