Customers say

Customers find these boots well-constructed, comfortable, warm, and waterproof, with one customer noting they handle Chicago weather well. They receive positive feedback for their appearance and snow protection, with one mentioning good traction on ice and snow. However, the fit runs narrow, and durability is a concern as the heels wear down after about 6 months of use.

Comfortable and good traction

I am typically an 8.5 or 9 and have a narrow foot. These are perfect in the 9. They seem to run a bit narrow, but there is plenty of room in the toe box. The Velcro around the ankle can be tightened. The sole seems to have good traction and they’ll also be nice and warm on a cold day. Read more

Great overall.

In reading other reviews, everything positive written by others has been true for me. I ordered a half size larger to accommodate for thicker socks and that has worked out very well. Besides being waterproof, they are good looking and not clunky. I find I keep them on longer than I initially intend because they are comfortable. I have not done much long distance walking in them yet though. I might add an arch support if need be. Read more

THE VERY BEST!

Well made and very comfortable. I love this boot company. I have owned at least 3 different pairs and have never been happier! I don't think I would buy anything else. They handle anything Chicago weather has to offer! Even the slush! They run true to size and are a good buy! Read more

Love this boot!

This is my second pair. My review is based on my first pair. The jury is still out on his new pair but so far they are as expected. I wore out my first pair. I wear them daily walking my dogs during Colorado winters. They are the best! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that the waterproofing wore off at the seams but it was only a problem if I stepped in standing water. It was not a problem in the snow. They are cute enough and comfortable enough to wear to work on snowy days. The only reason I bought a new pair was because I wore out the soles and was slipping when walking my dogs! Read more

Great boot!

Love this boot. Well constructed and very warm. Have not been out to Washington state where these boots will be most welcome but anticipate they will keep me dry. Have to wear thin socks with them as my thicker socks make them too tight. I wear a 7 and that is what I bought so they may run a little small. They were so warm on a cold day here that the thin socks felt good so I did not elect to go up a 1/2 size Read more

Tricky Sizing

In store try on of my size 7.5 way too short. Didn't have a larger sz. I ordered sz 8 & sz 8.5 as reviews all agreed this runs short. Size 8 is perfect. Feels snug, adjustable, and comfy with soft inside sole, rugged bottom. Perfect for snow and ice. 8.5 is sloppy and I swim in these. How to return? Read more

Phenomenally safe boots that are comfortable & fit true-to-size

Unlike a lot of boots where I've had to size up to be comfortable (and I already wear an 11W), I didn't have to with this pair. My foot is on the small range of the 11W side, though, and my ankles are also thin for that size shoe, to be fair. This is my second pair of the same brand/style- my other pair lasted three years, through lots of use. The new pair is equally as comfortable & feels fine on. This is the safest pair of winter boots I've ever found when walking on ice. Naturally, one still has to be careful, but this is superior in traction to other boots that I've worn. They are worth the money. I wear them with cotton socks of average thickness, not thin athletic socks but not thick wool ones, either. You definitely want to wear these with a sock that will cover your foot & ankle against the boot, or the boot's inner fabric will rub against your skin uncomforatbly. The laces & lace holes are designed to work with a variety of sock thicknesses, though. I will say that if you have it on one of the tightest two settings (which I do), the boot laces are quite short. If the boots have one flaw, it's that the laces are a bit too thin & small. The boots, though, are muted enough that you can wear them with bootcut pants/jeans & still get away with them in a business casual environment. Safety & comfort comes first, and style second, in my opinion. Read more
