Needs adjustment to sit correctly

The media could not be loaded. Looks great! Awesome price. Needs adjusting. Will not sit even. I would have to take them to a sunglass location to have them corrected. I exchanged them for another pair but had same issue. So I returned them for a refund and bought them from the local Tom Ford store. Read more

Two Different Eye Shades

I purchased a pair of Tom Ford sunglasses TF 624, now discontinued, from Gaffo’s a little over three years ago.. I have worn these sunglasses at the most a dozen times, for no more than 3 hours. The right lens (while on the face) is now faded to the point that my eye is clearly visible. The left lens is fine. This defect and degradation of the lens material were` noticed for the first time two weeks ago, by a friend. While the manufacturer's warranty is for two years, the defect in only one of the lenses did not show up until about fourteen days ago. It is not unreasonable to expect $400 sunglasses to match opacity. Gaffos instructed me to contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer, Tom Ford, referred me back to Gaffos. Both are kicking the can down the road, so to speak. Would you pay $400 for sunglasses? It is ridiculous but I paid a discounted price ($200)--never again--for a Xmas present to myself! Would you expect the lenses to be the same opacity? Would it be reasonable to rely on the reputation for quality from Tom Ford? Would it be naive to count on Tom Ford to back up their products? Would you be surprised to have a luxury brand refuse to stand behind their products? I answered YES to all of these questions. When I purchased these $400 Tom Ford sunglasses three years ago I expected both lenses would have the same tint. Now the tint has faded on one lens but is totally stable for the other lenses. Others on social media have complained about this problem as well. Better quality is expected from high-end manufacturers like Tom Ford. Have you experienced a similar situation? If so, what did you do about it? I would love to hear from you. Read more
