I’ve never owned a boucle jacket—or anything in yellow—so this was a style experiment for me. The color is vibrant and unapologetically bold: definitely a “here I am” kind of piece. I had to look up how to style it and ended up pairing it with jeans for a casual look that felt comfortable. I imagine it could work with tailored pants too, though I’m still figuring that part out. I typically wear a size 12 in jackets but sized up to a 14 based on the waist measurement in the size chart. I also prefer petite sizing when available, and since this jacket isn’t offered in petite, the sleeves run long on me. The puff shoulders aren’t really my style—I tend to avoid embellishments, so they feel a bit like wearing bows. That said, the jacket is fully lined (body and sleeves), which speaks to its quality. It has small side pockets, but they’re shallow—fine for a photo pose, but I wouldn’t trust them with keys or a favorite lipstick. The material isn’t stiff or soft; it holds its shape nicely and feels appropriate for cool weather, possibly even colder days if layered with a sweater. Bonus: it’s machine washable. I ordered the Tommy Hilfiger Womens Long Sleeve Puff Shoulder Boucle Jacket in Ivory, size 16. This jacket runs a little larger than the size chart. In addition, the material is a little stretchy. I have slight shoulders so I like a shoulder puff, but sometimes it is too much. I think this one is nice and subtle and will look decent even when shoulder puffs are back out of fashion. This jacket can be worn with jeans, as in the product photos, but it also looks good more dressed up with trousers or a dress. The structure and gold buttons give it a certain amount of formality. The material is polyester (with a little spandex), which does look a little cheap up close. I do think it still looks like a nice jacket, and it is well made (including being fully lined). I really like how this jacket looks on me and think it can elevate an outfit. This is definitely a jacket I'll be wearing to nice occasions on cooler days. I needed a white/neutral jacket for my wardrobe, and Tommy Hilfiger did not dissapoint! This boucle jacket is stunning in person. The puff shoulders give it a modern twist, while the ivory color keeps it timeless and sophisticated. The tailoring is excellent—structured but still comfortable and warm. This pure white jacket is very lightweight—perfect for early spring. It has a nice lining and feels comfortable to wear. The shoulders have a slight puff detail, which some might love and others might not. The color is strikingly bright white, almost dazzling. The only thing I don’t love is the buttons; they’re gold, which makes the jacket look a bit cheap. I’m even considering replacing them with something more elegant. This jacket is absolutely perfect! The material used is great quality and doesn’t wrinkle. I love the style! The pouff shoulders add a bit of flare, and the fit is very flattering. The mustard yellow color is perfect for fall and blends well with greens, navy, orange or browns. The jacket is lightweight, not heavy at all. This jacket is a quality piece in a classic style. The fabric is very nice and the lining makes it comfortable to wear. I wouldn't call it lightweight because of that extra lining and the heavy exterior fabric, I'd say it's more midweight. The color is more white than ivory though. And I think it's a bit snugger around the shoulders than I usually prefer, meaning I don't wear it for long periods. If you tend to be broad shouldered, maybe size up. Read more
I have never been a fan of yellow color and recently have become obsessed with it. The yellow shade on this is beautiful. This is not a woolly or thick jacket and pairs well with white t shirts with a tailored pant or event jeans. I normally wear a US size 10 and this fit me accurately without being snug or tight in the shoulders. I got this in a size 10 as well. The material is not itchy or scratchy at all.
