Worth every penny

The first time this underwear came to my attention, I thought no way was anything worn beneath pants worth this kind of money. But after initiating an underwear fund and saving methodically, I pulled the trigger when they went on sale. Heaven. Seriously. Heaven. Can I be honest and you won’t freak out? There are times I will pull them out from the bottom of the dirty pile just to experience them one more time before laundry day. I’ve started another underwear savings fund so my wife won’t divorce me for that dirty-pile thing. Read more

I wasted $40 so you don't have to

These are far from being worth $40. They were my latest trial to find a pair of boxer briefs that have a decent pouch and don't ride up too much. I can already tell you, these have a poor pouch design and find them bad enough that I already wish I hadn't bought them after about a half hour of wear. I've tried Hanes total support pouch, All Citizen Elite and a few styles of Saxx. For these: Fit - I'm right in the middle of the large size and they fit as expected/comparable to other brand's larges. The waistband is very lose though so I get an unpleasant breeze in the back when I bend over. The length is also a lot more than expected. Most brands seem to measure the inseam from the center but these are the seam on the leg part only, skipping the middle panel. They basically come down to my knees. They probably won't ride up at that length but its just way too long. Material - It feels pretty nice and good quality but the air part only refers to the weight of these, not the breathability. Out of all the brands I've tried these are immediately and noticeably the hottest, which is really surprising since almost all the ones I've tried so far are polyester. Pouch - The trick I've found with pouch underwear to help you before you wash/try on and make them nonreturnable is to just hold them open and look at the sides of the pouch. Saxx will form a hammock and All Citizens sort of will, both good pouches. Hanes just sit flat on the front of the boxers and don't really do anything. These mostly just sit flat like the Hanes so they don't form that much of a pouch. Its sort of halfway between Saxx and Hanes. So it will help somewhat but the bottom of your goods probably won't be separated from your legs. Fly - This was one of the biggest reasons I gave these a chance, even after I got them and had my doubts about the pouch. The All Citizens have a horizontal fly, which it awesome so I was trying to find something else similar but with longer legs. The fly here is pretty good, not quite as good as the All Citizens but pretty close and maybe a bit more secure feeling when closed. Everyone is different, so these might be the best bet for you but they don't justify the high price and I would absolutely recommend trying many other options first before these. Update after more use: removing a star since these do ride up quite a bit (or maybe a lot for the length) and the seams across the back are also getting really annoying. At this price point it shouldn't even have seams there. The Hanes have them but those don't bother me so I didn't think these would. Given that this one pair of these literally cost me more than 12 pairs of the Hanes on sale, you think they'd at least have figured out some of the basics. Picture shows pouch on these vs Saxx Daytripper vs All Citizens (Elite II and Advance Ball Pouch Amazon Exclusive), showing how the pouch is just completely flat against the front and doesn't go up high enough or down low enough. My privates feel grand

These Tommy Johns cradle the goods like they’re smuggling royalty across enemy lines—secure, stealthy, and with just the right amount of bounce. It’s like my boys are lounging in a hammock made of angel whispers. Honestly, there’s so much room in the front pouch I’m considering subletting it. 10/10, my junk has never felt more majestic. Not Durable Material

They were really comfortable, but I tore a hole just taking them off. I had only worn them around 6 to 8 times. To expensive to be replacing in such a short amount of time. Read more

Comfortable, moisture wicking, lightweight underwear

I have tried several brands of underwear that feature "hammock pouch" styles (both premium and inexpensive). These are on par with them. The waist band is great - it does not roll, and overall, they are very comfortable. Since this is a moisture wicking style, it is made from synthetic fibers, which is not my favorite, but maybe the main or only game in town for really good moisture wicking. I usually wear this type of material for working out or riding my bike. My only real complaint is that I found these to be somewhat larger than other 2x - the sizing seems a bit too generous. I wear a 40" waist in jeans, and usually 2x fits me perfectly. Read more

Best underwear I’ve owned—worth every penny

These boxers live up to the hype. Soft, breathable, and the pouch really does make a difference in comfort. Holds up well in the wash. Read more

"Not as comfortable as I thought they would be"

From my husband - "I had heard great things about these and now I'm kind of disappointed. I've used them several times. They are light, but even that makes me worry about their durability. For me, they ride up and make me uncomfortable." Read more
