This may be advertised as a children's toothpaste but I'm 33 and use this product every day. I'm not sure what it is about mint flavored toothpaste but it makes me gag. Period. I absolutely hate it. Excellent toothpaste. Good formula, good flavor and quality, robust and convenient packaging. I would not let my kid soak it in water but there is hardly any other toothpaste that can withstand such an abuse. So, it is not a minus, just a comment. My kid is very picky when it comes to toothpastes. He fell in love with his "baby" strawberry toothpaste but grew out of it. And he just did not want to switch to anything else — either the texture "was not right", the flavor was "yucky", etc.. In utter desperation I tried Tom's of Maine Anticavity Fluoride Children's Toothpaste and it worked! IMO, it is a very personal thing, especially when it comes to kids and flavors. Some hate the taste of "orange", others hate "strawberries" and oftentimes you cannot tell what will actually work until you try. The acceptance of the toothpaste was important to me because it made the training a bit easier but I also paid attention to the formula. In our case fluoride-free toothpastes just did not work. And we had to go for something safe and relatively strong. Btw., the packaging is also good — sealed from the factory making it easier to preserve the toothpaste in the storage and it is easy to squeeze by the kid. Read more

I was sick of mint toothpaste and wanted something new, while still having the proper fluoride content an adult should have. I love the taste of this, but it's VERY mild, which for some can be a good thing but this is more like after you've chewed gum for a while and it's losing the flavor. Also it barely foams up at all while scrubbing. That might not make a difference, and my teeth still feel clean after, but something about it just FEELS like it doesn't scrub as good as normal toothpaste. Probably just a psychological thing but it's worth noting. Overall I'm glad I tried it but might not get another tube when this one is empty. Read more

only toothpaste our daughter will use! Thank goodness for a non-minty, not overly sweet toothpaste that our child can tolerate. I will say she is 6.5 yrs old and hasn't had a single cavity, which has been amazing. Yes, she has decent genetics here for strong teeth, but the best genetics are only half the picture - you really need good toothpaste to help protect your teeth. WE are really pleased with this and will continue to use it for quite some time as we don't see her learning to like mint any time soon! our daughter likes silly strawberry the best, and frutilicious is a close second.
