Wore it for the first time for my workout. Had it on for about 1.5 hours. It's a good weight for what I'm using it for. I am not a runner so I can comment on how it would be on a run. It is slightly bigger in the back area so maybe it might flop around on a jog. Again that's just my guess because I'm not using for that. I am about 5'4" and about 150 and I am a size D. I was concerned about where that strap will sit but it sits above my chest ant the perfect height not uncomfortable around my breasts. The only complaint is that the elastic under the arms is a bit scratchy. Wearing a T shirt solved the problem. I might need to cut the sharp piece off next time. The "cell phone" holder on the chest strap is either for a small flip phone from the 90s or for a small iPod. There is no way a phone of today will fit. lol I did however try to squeeze my iPhone 7 plus and I had to giggle at that. Other than that the vest is great. Gave me a great work out and I can't wait to use it again. One thing I am concerned about is not being able to wash it. There is no way to remove the shell and clean it. I'm not sure how that will hold up with several sweaty sessions. Read more

This is a great weight vest - 12lbs didn't seem like a lot when I bought it, but after wearing - 12lbs is a big difference. I've used it for walking, stair master, cardio kickboxing, yoga, weightlifting, jillian micheals at-home workout dvds- it's great. fits fairly snug - i'm a M in most women's tops (s.8) and 36D - and I have the chest strap tightened down to fit. Does move around/shift a little, when I'm jumping or burpees or such, but really stays put. The sand inside stays really evenly distributed. Has been worn for 100+ hours of workouts, from low to high intensity, body weight to burpees - and has held up really well so far. I am impressed. Cell phone pouch is a little silly- doesn't fit the smart phones and is kinda flimsy. But i've put my keys in there when I go walking. I wouldn't really want to hold anything in there if you were doing anyting explosive or plyometirc. I have recommended it to several friends and fellow fitness enthusiasts looking to up their training. Would buy again myself if needed, very pleased! Read more

First the CONS - it stinks. Not a little, a lot, so you should give it some time to air out before you use it. I left mine in my garage for 24 hours so it could heat and cool. If you have a small body, the one logical thing it lacks is a way to control the excess strap. That can be cut if needed though so not a huge issue. Pros - Honestly one of my best all time Amazon buys. You NEED this if you are trying to get into shape, even if you don't have time to dedicate to working out. This is high quality construction, is a perfect add on body weight for all day wear, comfortable and well thought out design. It is so comfortable, and stays put so well, that it was a dream come true for weight resistance with sit-ups. It is so much better you can't even compare it to holding on to a platter. I had no problem holding a pair of dumbbells to my chest while wearing it and doing inclined sit-ups. For anyone who already holds huge platters (or other weights) it is still a good item because you can put it on and leave it on. I put it on and wear it while I workout and while I do normal house chores. This is a no-brainer purchase to help get into shape or keep in shape in my opinion. Read more

I just got this vest and am loving it. I hesitated to buy the 12 pounds one but the weight is evenly distributed and feels really good. It feels like a weighted blanket giving comfort to my back. I use it while doing housework and it helps my posture which is decreasing my back pain. I did go on a walk with it and it felt good. I did get more tired so I plan on limiting the time of my walks until I build up strength and endurance. Read more
