Tone Fitness set includes 3 PAIRS of DUMBBELLS

My only complaint against this dumbbell set was the smell of the weights when I opened the box. I took the weights out of their plastic bags, washed them, and put them on the included rack in the garage to let them air out before the rubber smell went away. If you have a latex allergy this set may be an issue for you or you might have to wear gloves while using them. The smell eventually did go away and I've been using the weights ever since. They seem to be a good product but like others have said, the stand that comes with the weights isn't very sturdy. You will have to handle the rack gently if you want it to last. In my case I didn't really buy the weights for the rack, I wanted a reasonably priced weight set that didn't gouge me on shipping charges and that's what I got. I'd buy this set again if I needed to replace them. I take care of the things I buy so I believe these weights and the flimsy rack will serve me well. I can't say fro sure but I'd have to say these weights may not hold up well if they're dropped on a hard floor or concrete surface. I won't be testing that out so others will have to give us a review if it happens to them. I read the reviews before buying and was a little hesitant about purchasing because I was afraid they'd be poor quality. But...dumbbells are expensive and I'm on a mac & cheese kind of budget. I was getting ready to ditch my gym membership and workout at home, so I NEEDED weights. Initial reaction: weights are nice, have that rough-Neoprene-esque coating, are easy to grip (even when you're sweating buckets), and work like champs. The stand on the other hand...no way around that, it's a cheap piece of plastic--not solid and not built to withstand excessive abuse. That being said, I didn't buy these for the stand, it was just an added bonus. Assembling the stand was difficult and a little tedious, but once it was together, it served it's purpose. After a month, I still love the weights. They get daily use, and I have dropped them into place on that stand no less than 50 times, and it's still doing it's job (and in one piece). I'm sure the stand won't last forever, but the weights are worth it. Read more

Great quality weights - - especially considering the price and the fact that it comes with a stand too. The weights are nicely and evenly coated. The colors are a bit girly, and I'm a girl so that's okay with me. These 2-3-5 pounders are not exactly man sized, so I guess you could say the colors are appropriae. The hourglass shape is very comfortable and secure in hand. The stand has a small footprint and tucks away easily in the corner. Granted, the stand is flimsy, lightweight and plastic, but remember . . . it's a stand, not a carrying case. Once it's put together and the weights are on it, the stand is not meant to be picked up and moved around. The screws are short, and the pre-drilled screw holes are not the most precise, so a little elbow grease is needed in order to set the screws securely. That being said, I am completely happy with my purchase and would recommend this for anyone looking for a small, lightweight dumbbell set. Read more

The media could not be loaded. ✓ Came the day it said it would. ✓ All the parts are in the box. ✓ The weights are beautiful and look like they're well made. ✓ They fit my large hands. X The box looked as if it head been opened and re-taped. i.e. falling apart... The stand... X The little pegs are not pre-screwed. X The screws won't screw into the plastic without stripping the screw and the peg. X The screws won't go in all the way, leaving a big gap in between pieces. I tried using a smaller screw, which fit the pegs perfectly, except they were too small for the hole of the outside of the base... I'm going to see if I can find some small washers to use the smaller screws I have. That or some kind of epoxy glue! Get the weights, but don't get excited about the stand, just in case. They will stack on their own just fine, or find a small bin. The weights are still a great deal without using it! Read more

I was highly impressed by this dumbbell set! Not only are they cute and feminine colors but they also live up to their good reviews! These were first recommended to me by my trainer at the local gym. I am currently on a weight loss journey and have lost enough to where I really need to tone to keep skin from sagging. My first impression when I opened these is that they definitely smell like the gym. They have an extremely strong rubbery smell to them... This does dissipate after some airing out. The overall feel of them is fantastic. They are definitely no slip just as the product detail page describes. If you are the time to get extremely sweaty and slippery hands, these will help a ton. My old set of dumbbells used to give me blisters from my hands sliding up and down the bar as I used them. These eliminate that irritation on my hands! The stand is not as sturdy as I had hoped for, in fact, the plastic is kind of thin in my opinion, but it does a fine job of holding the dumbbells. It is portable, but I wouldn't want to constantly be picking it up and moving it because I don't feel like the stand could withstand too much dangling in the air with 20 pounds of weights on it. The weighs themselves are great! easy to handle and hold and I love the bright colors , but the stand is a piece of crap! none, not one screw! would work on it when putting it together , it’s horrible! and it’s very! cheap and thin. My weighs are setting in a box! when not in use. Read more
