Strong spring, good locking mechanism, solid design an excellent value
Recently one of the inner springs of my favorite tongs broke and I decided to give these a try since the price was so competitive. We've used a top-name brand of tongs for cooking for years, so when it came time to buy a replacement we were very skeptical about this no-name brand since it was far and away more affordable and at a price point where a set of three pairs cost less than just one singular set of tongs from our favorite name brand. These tongs are wonderful. The handle and finish are excellent, the locking mechanism is solid, and most importantly the handle and grip are nearly identical to the name-brand tongs I formerly used. The only slightly noticeable difference is the weight and heft of the stainless steel. These tongs are just ever so slightly lighter in weight than the name brand I had been using. Overall these tongs are an excellent value for the price, in fact I never knew I needed a shorter/stubby pair until I received them as part of this set. Now I cannot live without it! Read more
