These work fine, and a four pack at a reasonable price. Does the job of cleaning your tongue. Comes in two colors (handy if you and someone else in your household are using these together so you don't mix them up). Most of you looking at this will know what these are for, but if not, a tongue scraper helps take the food, bacteria, and other biofilm off your tongue for a deep cleaning that a tooth brush alone will not do as well (you at least brush your tongue, right?) There are different types of tools for this - a tooth brush (which doesn't remove as much), a tongue brush (shorter, stiffer bristles than a tooth brush - better than a tooth brush, more gentle than a scraper and my personal preferred item), a plastic tongue scraper (like this, another item I use), or a metal tongue scraper. For most folks, I think the tongue brush or plastic tongue scraper is a nice place to start - good cleaning without being too rough on your tongue. To use any of these, brush / scrape from back to front, and rinse or wipe the gunk off the scraper in between. Start gentle (both so you don't gag and so you don't irritate or hurt your tongue) - if it does cause irritation, use a lighter touch or switch to a gentler tool (from metal scraper to plastic, from plastic scraper to tongue brush). I have been using a tongue scraper daily for more than 35 years and could not live without it. I just love the clean feeling afterward and many dental hygienists have commented over the years about how beneficial it is to use one. Anything that reduces your risk of developing cavities and other gum diseases is a win-win in my book. This DOWMI tongue scraper has double edges as well as massage bumps to pull the icky stuff off your tongue. The handle seems to be pretty sturdy which is a concern for me since I've been using the same metal scraper for many many years and I wanted some spares for guests and traveling so I decided to try these colorful tongue scrapers. I will say my metal scraper is wider and is able to clean the entire top of the tongue with one motion but this one just requires a couple more swipes, no big deal. These are really great tongue scrapers. They’re solid pieces of plastic from what I can tell and have a bit of bend if you really apply pressure. You won’t be applying anywhere near that amount of pressure on your tongue to get the sticks to bend, but it’s reassuring and just feels good to know that they’re sturdy. Cleaning my tongue with these doesn’t irritate my tongue at all, which I really love. It doesn’t scrape off as much as other tongue scrapers, but I’m more than fine with the tradeoff, given how non-irritating these are. I can scrape with these for a whole 5 minutes if I want to really get a deep clean and remove every possible bit of plaque, and it still doesn’t bother my tongue. These feel a bit high-priced at 2.50 a piece for solid plastic sticks. But when factoring in how well they do the job, it’s not a ripoff by any means. Read more

The scrapers are made with a sturdy plastic that flexes a little from heavy pressure but it's what I would expect. They work just fine at about any angle but the lower or shallow angles do cause the spikes to be felt more which are sharp when they make full contact.
