The nostalgia is strong with this one! Never had some much fun playing through an older title. Recommended for anyone that likes to see some cool tricks on skateboards. Cool soundtrack - short but sweet. Remember to go through the tutorial a couple of times if you're having trouble beating the top scores - it helps. Read more

Works under windows 10 64 bit, but will not work with my wireless Xbox One controller or even older USB controllers I have that are period correct for this game. Setup sees them but won't let me use them. I can only use keyboard controls. I can't find any patches for the game that will correct this either. There are 3rd party software that can assign keyboard keys to your controller and guides online to set them up for use with this game however. Just be aware before you buy that in order to use a game controller with this game you are going to have to do some homework and use other 3rd party software or else you are stuck with keyboard controls only. Still a great game after all these years though! The graphics look great and gameplay is smooth as silk on modern computers. Read more

Just like the name this is a cool skateboarding game(Sport game). And I suppose you'll wonder why this game is rated `Teen' instead of `E'. Well, I'll explain this later but first I have to say this is an cool game. If you seen on TV people do cool tricks with their boards and you probally want to try those tricks least once(even if you don't know how to spell `skate'-just a joke). This game can grant that wish in a few days(or few hours). control in this game is simple than you think. you can almost do some extreme tricks if you just memorize about 7~8 keyboard keys. So you can do some massive combo tricks quite easily. Which is very cool to look at. And map creater and the skater editor keeps the fun from escaping. And the places you skate are places that you want to skate for real(Want to skate at a airport?). And there are goal you have to achived to get other stages(which is very challenging and it's more than just doing skateboard tricks.) BUT.... this game has some downsides that parents should consider before purchasing this game to kids. The songs in the game are good, but the lyrics are well...uh about bad things. And when your skater gets a good hit on the ground they get a nosebleed(leaves some blood on the ground). The amount of the blood is not much but it doesn't disappear unless you quit game. And some more contents may not be right for young children. So I guess these thing made this a `T' rated game. but except those things the game is fine. And if you have PS2 try THPS4. Read more

This game was the first online skateboarding game and it launched a revolution in online gaming. This game has a ton of replay value. Servers were still functioning last I checked. DEFINATELY RECOMMEND. Even if it is just for the nostalgia factor. Read more

this is one of the best computer games i have played. unfortunatly that doesn't mean much as i tend to be pretty disgruntled with games despite the fact that i remain fairly obsessed with them. i played this one maybe 90% of the way through with one skater before becoming sort of fed up and losing interest. but for awhile there i was quite a fan. on the plus side alot of the game is nicely constructed. on each level there are all these goals to accomplish and lots of rewards for doing it- this is true of most games (though too few sports games), but most importantly for much of the game you feel like you're improving- and you really are! it looks neat and has a wonderful feel to it and i loved all the scoring and the detail of the scoring. i liked how it all broke down into little 3 minute or less runs, it sort of combined some of the enjoyable qualities of the traditional (or i guess old) arcade games with all the modern graphics and style. i really liked this. it felt unique too. i mean sometimes every computer game, even across genres, can feel all the same to me, but this felt like a new thing to me. now the negatives: it doesnt really include anything more than the most rudimentary few instructions. it has a tutorial which was fairly incomplete and deadly confusing at times as it referred to playstation controls or something so it took me a long time to figure out (i am not great at this, but i only play on a computer and am not an idiot or anything). even very late in the game after many hours of play there were some things i was just not entirely clear on how they worked (lots of key combinations). i have read people suggesting you get a, um, i forget the word, one of those play pads or something, but this game is for a pc and does seem to work fine with the keyboard so why not just tell us how it works on that? also there's alot of stuff about different skaters and customizing that was pretty uninteresting to me (but that stuff usually is- at least this game wasn't half skating half "fantasy skate league owner" or something like all those lousy ea sports games out there), and even if it were interesting to me you couldn't really do much interesting- like you could choose alot of tattoos for your skater but they're all kind of the same idea of a tattoo. the boards too you win for your skater are pretty boring. finally, big complaint, towards the end it just gets too hard. for me theres challenging, which is fine, but it just gets to be like work eventually- you got 200,000 pts. now get 400,000. especially in the last half of the campaign i felt it didn't ever let me revel in the skills i had. i realize there are all these people getting millions of points and people are always writing about this or that being too easy, but i must admit i find most games a bit harder than i like. this is especially true in sports and strategy type games where easy is never all that easy and usually bunches up pretty close to the other difficulty levels. still, perhaps a difficulty setting would have been nice here or just, i don't know, in tony hawk i think the idea is you play through lots of skaters. why not have some be lots better than others (rather than just having variations of talents). oh, also, theres a kind of fog when things are far away which can make it sometimes challenging to locate things at a distance (which is important), and there was a stat point i could not jump up to no matter what i tried, and despite the exact descriptions of what should work not working (this was in tokyo, don't know if others ran into this). thats about it. i recommend it certainly for 5 or 10 bucks. i played thps2 for about a year.. it was so fun for abour 10 months,,,then it got boring... then i thought that this game is gonna bring the fun back to it. NOPE. once u bored urself with a tony hawk game nothing is gonna change that. I played this game for about 3 days then stopped.. 1. this game is easy, i beat it with kareem kamble, geoff rowly, and bucky lasick, each took me about 2 hours. 2. u can do double kickflips and other tricks u cant in thps2 3. neversoft made it so with each player the stat points and stuff are at different place so u will play it with every player, didnt work. 4. dont buy this game if u already played thps2 5. Those 2 stars are because of the level canada which is awesome Read more
