The plastic repair tool works as advertised and then some, was able to stitch my busted motorcycle faring back together with minimal issues, so far after heavy heavy use of the tool my biggest warning is be sure to not undercharge and over use the welder because you will overdischarge the 18650 cell inside and you'll have to recharge it manually to recover functionality and normal charge functions. Over all great tool and would like to see a small battery meter on newer iterations Read more

The media could not be loaded. Works great I was hesitant at first because as you can see it was for my front number and I drive fast and ruff Ina small town with bad roads and a low car so I was scared it wouldn’t withhold the speed and numbs every once and a while but it’s super simple a kid could use it heats up very quick I would recommend having somone help you if u are doing somthing like I did because as you can see in the video there’s a little gap because (I) you might be able to but I could hold it fully together by myself and use the tool because my bumpers been broke for a while so had for pulling on it when I would bend it in place but I would 100% recommend Read more

This unit really can't be beat for the money. It heats the staples up quickly; red hot in about 7 seconds, but plenty hot enough to melt into the plastic in just 3-5 seconds. The shape of the unit is probably a bit more awkward than the gun style, but not bad, and the compactness is nice. The wrist lanyard is a waste, and gets in the way; removed it almost immediately. Overall, a good unit for the money. However...I got 1 bag of small squiggles, 1 bag of inside corner staples, and 2 bags of large squiggles. NO outside corner staples. Would've been nice to have all 4 styles, as described, but... Otherwise, great deal, and glad I purchased. Read more

Update: repaired broken frames on Chinese sun & laser glasses, my initial use case for this. It went way better than I hoped for! I didn't do all the crap in the videos just melted then cut the ends & ground them with Dremel on 1, do the other when noise won't bother people. Both seem more solid with the wire inside, like rebar. I did these by hand with no tools on my bed (except Dremel outside). With those you could make the repairs undetectable at casual glance! Took me longer to align & find the right spot than using the tool with was 10s tops. I'll have lots of uses for this I'm sure! Only wish I hadn't thrown away the half-split garbage can lid. Oh and agree with the guy saying case so small, very hard to repack after initial unboxing! Original : I just unboxed the kit. It's surprisingly small, which I show next to a bottle of clipper oil and safety glasses I got on the same order. If you have large hands or a lot of jobs maybe order something else. I especially like it appears to use a standard 18650 (probably high output though): 4 tiny screws hold it together, don't know what what they are. I also included the directions, what little there is (other side is std boiler plate safety etc). The scissors and chair shown are my immediate use cases instead of bunpers, along with another set of glasses like in the photo (but bought a pair in case I screw up fixing the broken frames); also had a garbage can lid but threw it away. This also goes in with the small size for delicate handheld work like a small soldering iron or heat gun for PCB work; may need tiny vices or Helping Hands: I'll know soon enough. Since staples are so cheap (for now) I went with the cordless version. Shown are examples of the staples including a strange thing in the 1st item photo at the top of the listing that doesn't seem to fit; directions mention a "smooth tip", maybe that's it. I've never used a plastic welder before but there's videos etc. This has a USB C port (unlike some other Chinese stuff I bought still using Micro) and includes a A to C cable. I just confirmed it has enough USB PD inside to wake up an Apple PD dongle & supply 5V 950mA just under 5W (again unused out of the box with presumably half charge), very nice! (Not shown, plugging into my clock's dumb output has a temp higher rate but falls back within a minute.) Read more

This thing will take so much frustration out of whatever you're working on. Works fast, good hold, it's small and will probably last the rest of my life. Read more

So far, this thing has been working great! I have repaired ATV fenders, off road recovery boards, a Dyson vacuum and a couple other things with this so far and no issues. Based off of my experience after just this first few weeks… I would highly recommend this product. Hopefully it will continue to work for a long time 🤞🏼 Read more
