I have a similar Topo style that I wear to the gym. I used to wear Hoka sneakers to the gym but my foot has change and now I need a wide size. The Topo sneakers have a wide toe box and narrow ankle. The phantom sneaker is very comfortable with arch support, I will use at the gym. Probably great for hiking, still prefer the Dansko Paisley for walking. I like the Topo sneakers better than Hoka, suits my needs. Read more

I love my Phantom road runners and wanted a waterproof version. The sole and overall fit are the same, but the waterproof lining affects the fit of the tongue. There is a fold that irritates my foot. I love the fit otherwise so am working with my lacings and finding ways to make it work. Read more

These are super comfortable shoes. My client had a pair and I was intriged by the ample toe box. I have high arches, bunions and pain in the metatarsal joint on my big toe. These don’t aggravate these conditions. Yay. I don’t run but I almost want to in these. Even when I’m not being chased. I’m only docking one star because, since i haven’t been untying them and do the foot twist to get them on. you know what i mean. The consequence is the heel has been mushed down and compressed and all bunched up pressing into my ankle. I can’t get it to it’s original state which makes the heel now dig into the back of my foot. So, in the future i’ll get a shoehorn or try elastic laces. or not be so lazy. I’m hoping i can smooth and coax the heel back so they are comfortable again. But if I ever did replace them, I’ll look into this brand. My fashion forward 12 year old was not super impressed with my style choice but she just does’t understand foot pain and since her job in life is to criticize my fashion choices, well i guess I’m doing her a favor.
