This is a very cool looking novelty lighter. It's designed to look similar to a m374 81mm mortar round. The design is pretty interesting. It's a little hard to stand up as it is heavy and the base is small, so it falls over frequently. It has a lock that can lock it into off or flame. Locking on flame can be useful for soldering a brazing. Locking it in off is great if you have young curious hands around. It functions OK. Mine doesn't seem to have much adjustment. The flame jets to about 9", and turned all the way down about 8". It's like a mini lightsaber. This completely limits the lighter to soldering, brazing, grill lighting, and fighting force users. In my picture you can't see the complete flame well at the reduced resolution, but it does span the entire picture. The boom ring fidget spins for unknown reasons, lighters aren't fidgit toys. It is solid, definitely good materials were used in the production. Filling it was easy. It uses the rubber tip filler end, but I managed with the standard just fine. The flame limits my use of it, so I gave it to a friend I served with (a Indirect Fire Infantryman), he got a kick out of this and absolutely loved it. DO NOT BUY!!! This thing is a hazzard. It's very easy to grab the wrong end and flip the switch while it is in your hand! The torch was a lot longer than expected and super durable in the hand. It seems to be made entirely out of metal and has a spinner "Boom" at the bottom which seems to be only for aesthetics and as a fidgeter. It refills easily at the bottom using a propane bottle and I haven't had any issues with any leakage. It lights up instantly once flicking the switch at the bottom of the lighter and can be easily adjusted using the tiny slider. It's overall a very good and handy tool to have whether it be for BBQ or other fire-related purposes. Read more
